You can kill them in FFA no problems (I won a 10 player huge map FFA vs the hard AI, and all the achievements were completed when I'd finished).

The 'space ponies' achievement is a planetary feature. You may uncover it by exploring your planets - in the same way you uncover other things like penal colony to reduce construction cost etc, or the artifacts. I've come across it once in about 15 or so games vs AI. Yeah, I laughed.

Is there any workaround for the back market problem? It's a lot more expensive buying 5 lots of 100 metal/crystal than it is buying one lot of 500...
