Its a 650W PSU. It does not crash when doing anything else. And it actually goes through the whole vista shut down process. It does not simply turn off as if there was no longer power.

When trying to play a LAN game, one of the computers turns off within .5-3 minutes. The same computer turns off everytime. No other game crashes with this computer. Call of Duty 4, among many other games, works flawlessly with this computer. The computer is about a month old. It has a dual core 2.66GHz processor, NVIDIA 8800GT, 2GB RAM. It is running Vista 32 bit. We have tried with the antivirus disabled, so this is surely not the problem. This problem did not occur with vers
I said you can get refunds, which is true
Really? How? I got my 3 copies of the game from Best Buy the day after it came out and constantly get Minidumps when i play LAN games. I would love a refund considering this isn't working out for our group.
That is why it is so important that people send us the minidumps (only if they are from the latest version of Sins) so that we can see what state caused the crash.
I sent you a game from 1.02, including all save files and dxdiag as suggested, before 1.03 came out, are you saying that it will not be looked at since it is not the latest version, or have I completely misunderstood what you have said?
We are well aware of the issues you continuously bring up and we've consistantly said that we are dealing with them.
This is the first time I have been acknowledged by you guys, that was the goal! BTW, I never said this wasn't a good game, from what I have been able to play it is great, but its frustrating to see patches come out that don't seem to fix the one thing that is preventing me from completing a game. When this is fixed, this will be the greatest Strate
No knowledge of how to operate their computer so they blame their problems on the software/games they try and run on it.
According to previous comments by IC/DC the game should be able to run on low-end computers. You seem to think just because the game crashes it is the fault of the player. It would seem to me that the game crashing and other poor aspects of it is due to the software. IMO, all SD/IC has to do is fix mini-dump errors and the game is GREAT.
Go troll somewhere else, please. You're deterring people without broken computers from buying the game when they could be enjoying it.
There is nothing wrong with my computer, its the game. I'm running it on a high-end gaming computer. I'm only sharing my own experiences with the game. I'm sure this problem doesn't happen with everyone, but from looking at other threads, I am obviously not the only one.
Hi - your computer sucks, or you suck with computers,
I should add that, considering its admirable level of post-release support, Sins may be worth another look a few months down the road. I wouldn't buy it now, though.
Definitely, among other problems, the mini-dump especially makes the game not worth your money until it is fixed! Unless you like playing a game for hours just for the game to somehow get corrupted and crash all the time. I'm playing Sins on a high-end gaming computer, so hardware is not an issue for me.
So you're saying that no one in the world can play SoaSE because you have issues?
Yes, if you looked at other threads, I am hardly the only one with this problem. Running the game on a high-end gaming computer, there is no reason the game should be crashing. You try playing a game, you pay $40 on, for over 4hrs just for it to continuously mini-dump every time you get to a particular point in the game. And this has happened for every game I have begun. This problem makes p
Due to the fact we're unable to play the game due to mini dumps again and again we decided to devote our time in which could be playing to this pointless poem. So instead of whining about balance perhaps making the very game itself finishable and playable we should instead focus our attention on the mini dump.
So true, the mini-dump is a serious problem that has to be fixed, right now the game cannot even be completed!

If the minidump is not fixed, the patches are not going to help the game at all. The mini-dump is what is making the game crash after playing for hours and hours.
Why have I not received any correspondence from IC support concerning the mini-dumps I submitted?
Hey, I'm not the only one! For now, mini-dumps make the game completely useless. Maybe when they fix the mini-dump problem, Sins will not be such a waste of money.
When you put aside a couple of hours to finally sit down and play a game....to have it ruined by a minidump is terrible.
Yes, I have a LAN game that a group of friends and I had been playing for over 4 hours. Another option that should be added... When the map is chosen, there should be an option that allows you to choose the maximum amount of players in each system. For example, if one wanted to play a map with 5 stars, and there were 5 players, one could theoretically set the max to 1 so that each player began the game with their own solar system.
