Not cancelling my preorder. Gamestop is being really mean this time...circuit city used to do that too, but since they're pretty much dead you don't have to worry about them :P

Thanks right back :) I can't think of any other company that lets beta testers directly have the ear of the guy in charge. seriously, that's really cool.
Even the most experience Demigod players can't agree on changes. -frogboy I'm gonna go ahead and bet that means the balance is pretty good :P
Alright, here goes...Gameplay wise first, art-wise later. As a concept, Demigod is very strong, and it's influences are easily recognizeable, but with enough new mechanics and strategies to make it worthwhile. The balance isn't perfect, but stardock has a reputation for post-release support for their products, so that's not so big a deal. The visuals (in the strictly technical sense) are very strong without system requirements being too high for people who don't w
Rather than sub-factions, I'd rather see a much smaller number of completely new factions, like whoever the Vasari are running away from. A lot more creative potential in that, and for some reason I think it would be a bit easier to balance.
Given the limited number of activated skills(4) I'd say this isn't viable, and would only further limit the number of "good" builds for each demigod. Each already has only one or two possible builds, and this would even further reduce that number. This would only be viable if more skills were added, which seems unlikely this far into production.
Hey, if anyone wants, I could paint this up. I was gonna paint a sort of zuni myth inspired monster(inspired by Achiyalatopa, a monster with feathers of flint knives) to see how that would work anyways. If you want to, I'd suggest being as specific as possible with appearance, otherwise I'll totally go nuts with the idea and who knows what you'll get :P
Eew, I hate ganking. Don't wanna be ganked either. Since the minimap rotates with the view, it might be hard to get your bearings on it.
Ah...looks like people are playing in pantheon mode. It won't find players for me. Skirmish seems to work fine though. I hope I can get in with 3A when it comes :)
I just realized this could probably work for general items and artifacts too. You guys probably already know that though.
Swanghard: Yeah, that's what I mean :)
I'd like to see some favor items introduced that get more powerful as a demigod levels. This could help fix a few balance issues with existing favor items, as well. Cloak of night, for example, might at level one be a very short ranged teleport that does far less damage than it does now, but once a demigod reaches the highest level, it would become a longer range teleport that deals muuch heavier damage and might have a secondary effect. Either that or make the items le
Increase the cooldown time, but only until the demigod reaches level 10, and then put it back to how it is? Or just increase it's casting time so at least it'll be harder to use it on a target that is already moving.
Ooh, a fix for the minataur desync(Is that the one that seems to be hitting us every game?) You had me at, "Oh hey, I just got beat to death by a minataur."
So a bit overpowered then? Gotta admit that while her abilities aren't the most exciting, they are WAY too powerful. her yetis need to be powered down, her focus should be healing and support rather than lane pushing and siege.
heavenfall: I have the same issues with minion control. It's unreliable at best. Sometimes after they start following an order (ie, follow me around) they will just spontaneously stop, usually after fighting someone. I'm glad the targeting is better ,and I like the new visual feedback on mousing over other demigods. On the downside, while I can now connect to other players somewhat more easily, out of the 4 games I've played so far, all of them de
According to the chat it's being uploaded rigggght now, yarlen says probably within an hour. cheers :)
Camtasia is pretty good too...I think there is a 30 day trial for that(without other limitations, I think)
here's hoping the internal testing works out... (Also, you eat boxes full of puppies?) [e digicons]8O[/e]
I'll be there to play too :)
No patch today, but a dev said they'd try again tomorrow.
I agree with Evanescants points regarding the variety in builds. I'd like to add my own suggestion... have more abilities than slots for them. having 6 possible things to put in 4 ability slots forces players to make a tough decision, and creates a greater variety of builds that work. Right now, there is a right way and a wrong way to play each demigod(For example, The torchbearer fire spells are faaar more powerful in my view than his ice spells, to the point where I d
Valor items are persistant. Though I think there should be more to buy in the final version.
All this about generals staying in the base is a bad idea. If they are never vulnerable, it takes a lot of risk away, and overpowers them, as they can just stand by the health/mana regenerating crystal and just keep summoning units as they die. I agree with sparica in that minions should come in greater numbers and in squad form. but as such, the individual units themselves should be weaker. Greater focus on the generals unique units. Their gameplay should hin
I don't think it's on your side...We all have that issue.
