The problem with this is that there really isn't a good way to detect how low someone's simspeed will get to prior to starting a match. As the game furthers along and sides unlock troops and cap portals, the simspeed'll lower by a LOT. My own simspeed'll start off at 6 or 7 on big maps but as more troops are unlocked (priests, angels, catapults, giants) and portals are capped to spawn in even more troops, my sim speed can lower to 3 or even all the way to 1 depending on how many other players

I think that I spent my "Demigod MP noobness" in DotA, which was a pretty damn harsh introduction into this style of game. My friend and I usually do a lot of comp stomps inbetween MP pub games and he tends to keep upping the difficulty stacking (ugh, us 2 vs 5 nightmare AI Regulus) and usually I use those comp stomp sessions to try out different Demigods, skill builds and item builds so that I know what I want and what to aim for once I do play a MP pub game. If there w

Isn't the future Clan Wars DLC mentioned by Frogboy supposted to rectify this for the most part? Another thing that'll help is when (if?) they impliment in-game voice chatting so that even random strangers on a team'll have some form of communication that's better than typing to allies.

If you haven't already, switch to the Xfire Shadow skin (it has a textbox entry to join specific chat rooms) and in the "Chat Rooms" tab, go the the bottom where the text box is and type in: man this thing itches Then click on the Enter Chat Room button (the big green arrow) and voila. When you do that, there'll be a popup asking you if you want to join the voice chat server, so click Yes and you're good to go. Once inside the chat ro

I usually play as an Oak and I always tend to buy Monk and Priest minions to help out during battle. One thing that's been annoying me lately is how eager they are to move away from where I'm telling them to sit still to engage in combat or to stand there a good distance away trading pot shots at towers or enemies when I tell them to Regroup and I'm running away. It's not that I don't want them to attack, but I just specifically want them to attack whatever's in a smaller attack range

I can also highly recommend monks early on as an Oak. But the one thing you'd want to do is to somewhat keep them back and out of damage range when you're fighting in the frontlines. The M (Minion) and O (Regroup) keys are particularly useful to keeping them alive longer and summoning them when you need to heal up. In particular, I like using higher ranked Priests as a sort of quick mini-healing center for nearby teammates when we're battling over a flag with the enemy. I position the

Woohoo, an update. Worked on the Advent Male a bit more and we're nearing the homestretch for him. Thanks a lot for all the feedback and patience :]
But here's what I want A young (or prime) female leader for TEC A young male or female Advent leader Your conception of a "female" Vasari, and keep working on your current Vasari
Yeah I plan on having a younger female TEC leader once I finish up the current two I'm juggling. The male Advent I drew up isn't all that old actually. From my guess, he's around his 30's to early 40's. The shadows probably make him look a bit older, but I'm in the process of cleaning
The Vasari are an all male race (wow... no fun) and stuff...
W-what? Are they insect-like where there's a big fat queen who lays thousands of eggs or something? Damn, I had an idea of what I wanted to draw for a female Vasari too...
Though I have to agree with Chasington, the TEC one seems to be a bit too high tech. Though imho it would work great for a pirate.
Well, the inspiration for the TEC one I drew up was a combination of the 2nd and 3rd TEC avatars (the bald-headed guy with the mechanical eyepatch/eye and the one with the little metal skullcap) along with the pirate one with the mechanical jaw. My reasoning (or excuse?) was that if pirates had the tech to replace bodyparts with robotics or ma

In fact, I'll do you one better. Since I've learnt that it's always better to have multiple saves when working with Photoshop, I'll just upload all the steps I've made along the way for each drawing.
awsome work but a male as Advent is odd
Thanks and yeah, I know that a majority of the Advent Coalescences are female but from reading the manual, it just said that they "dominated" them so I figured that meant there would be some male Advent in the Coalescences, as rare as they would be :] I've started on the Vasari portrait, but that one was a pain to work with cause when I showed it to some online friends, they said it either looked too much like a

Thanks for the all the feedback :] Sorry, been a bit busy the past few days, but I finally had some free time to work on the Advent some more: Unfortunately this is sort of a learning experience for me, so it's taking a bit longer to whip out a completed avatar than I'd hope. But I'm sure that once I get down the methods involved, I'll be able to pump out more race portraits quickly. It also doesn't hel

So I've been working on some new race portraits for Sins. I'm planning (hopefully) on having two sets for each race, a male and female option for players to choose from since variety is always a good thing.
