These are awesome! Any others?

I've never run a mod in Sins before and I was wondering: can you turn the mods on and off? In some games when you mod them you're locked into playing that mod. But does Sins have a way of letting you turn the mod off and playing the regular game (or even running another mod)? -Thanks
Thanks for the responses. I'm gunna try them out.
I am thinking of playing this game again, and I was wondering what some of the best mods are out there. I tried doing some research on Google, but it was confusing since a lot of mods aren't done yet. What mods (that are fairly complete) would you recommend? I really want a good Star Wars one. (and I do have Entrenchment) -Thanks!
The reason I buy all Stardock games is their honesty. Seriously....try to look for this level of honest in ANY other developer/publisher and you will NOT find it. It's still a really good game guys. I truely appreciate everything you've done.
I'm offended that the OP was born naked. That's just plain immoral.
Also when you're Citadel upgrades to a certain level you'll get more fortresses. I'm not sure of the details though. Sorry.
Thge above poster is correct. But I would like to state that the fact that we cannot select things on the minimap is ANNOYING. Please fix this in the future!
I didn't know that. Thanks for the tip.
When you are creating the game you need to go into the Game Options and there is an option for allowing or disallowing pausing. Also, Oak's minions do attack on their own. They aren't great at it (they seem to prefer to fly around). I think the problem is that they really want to attack whatever he is attacking, but since he can kill most grunts in two hits they don't get a chance to hit much. However, he has abilities that make him do more damage based on how many he h
I know the Rook can summon towers. But I'm not sure how fortresses are made. Anyone know?
I think I was incorrect in my advice on idols if you're going to be Oak. If you're using Deathward you'll probably reach the max minions so idols may not be worth it. It all depends on which build you go for.
I don't seem to have too much trouble with the hards. This may be a really difficult question to answer though. I'll give you some tips. I'm sure you're already doing many of these things, but bear with me. 1. Buy potions. They're cheap and effective. Going back to the Crystal to heal often will make the enemy higher level because they'll be in combat longer. 2. Buy scrolls of teleportation on larger maps. They're cheap and they can save you tons of time. You wa
Jaradakar you do make good points. I would agree with your post. These things would have been nice for singleplayer, not for multiplayer. As I said before...there are definetly some things missing. But Stardock and GPG are known for their support. I'm sure we'll see a lot more features in the future. However, I still feel what they have i
Stardock is known for having no DRM on their games. It makes people pirate them more...but it also makes people who appreciate this sort of thing BUY them more. I buy almost every Stardock game that comes out because of this (and they're all good).
I wouldn't say it's overpriced. It has very high production values. I do wish there were more Demigods but they've already stated that at least 2 more will be added for free. If you're a big fan of single player campaigns then you will be disappointed because there isn't one. I, for one, never play the single player campaign....I'm all about the skirmishes and multiplayer.
If you're a die hard DOTA fan, buy it now. I had a great first time experience with it. There are some issues though (not enough heroes is my main concern). But the great thing about Stardock games is that they support them really well. They always have tons of post-release support and additions. So if you're on the fence just wait until the next patch. Either way...you can't pass this one up. It's just too good and has SO much potential to be great later on.
I'm a long time DOTA player (played since version 1). And I'm a huge Stardock fan...so I just had to buy this game. I have to admit, I was a little worried after reading about some of the problems that people have been having. But I just can't resist, so I purchased it anyways. I had no problems installing or registering. I got into the game and did a Skirtmish against hards. It was a difficult game at first, but I pulled it together with a win. I played the sniper guy,
Any idea when the first version will be release for SoaSE?
I noticed this also. I just assumed it was because I was playing on easy. The AI was waaaay behind me in tech and it was my very first game, so I think something is wrong here.
Runs perfectly for me (even though I agree that Vista blows).
I just played my first game. It's really addicting. I looked over at the clock and I had played for three hours straight. My only complaint is that pirate attacks happen too often, but I heard they're already changing that in the patch. Great work on this game. And I know the expansion will be even better (see Gal Civ 2).
I would like to see movement in combat also. It just doesn't look right without it. Although there should also be an option to turn it off for people with a slower processor.
Thanks for the reply. I can look past the ships not manuerving as long as I can have more than a few fleets in my gigantic game. When I make a game that big I doubt I'll have time to look at the battles anyways.
If I create an epic scale game, with about 20 planets per system and multiple systems; do I get a larger max fleet than if I create a smaller game? I am just worried that in the huge game that I want to play I'll end up with just one large fleet and I won't be able to make more because of the cap? I heard the cap is around 2000 (depending on your upgrades) so how many ships does this equal? Secondly, are there plans on making it so the ships manuever during the battle? So far I've noti
