As others have said there are kinda two ways to go, there's the spit/ooze/grasp combo and then there's the massive melee dmg builds. The spit/ooze/grasp really tends to dominate mid game. If you let things go on too long you'll get yourself into trouble as DPS builds will start to ruin you. This is the beast I usually play and focus on Armor/Health, Mana, and boots of speed since almost all of your damage is coming from skills. I usually get at least one point in the diseased cl

Toraque, Thanks for the reply. I was starting to doubt we'd ever hear anything on this. Any update as far as why stereo seems to help vs. quad/5.1? That said, I'll be a happy panda if we can get that performance boost on the low/med settings.
Logs sent! Favor is now stuck for me at 735. I only get AI in Pantheon, and for some reason half the acheivements on all characters show completed when I haven't unlocked them yet (Reset so I can get the favor once it works! lol!).
Yeah, only getting AI here too. Also, favor is still broken. For some reason it says now I've done half the acheivements on each character, but I perpetually have 715 favor and items don't save.
Tower's tend to not do much dmg late game. You know you can actually select them and make them target something? I found this out...helps a lot. Playing a tower rook, you can't afford to let your enemy get too far ahead. If he stacks armor, those tower shots tend to hurt a lot less....my 2 cents.
TB - Spells tend to top out and then he is really only useful for creep bashing (but oh how fun!). Deep Freeze's shatter might have got nerfed a little too hard. Granted, - cooldown items really help, but until favor is fixed it hurts. That favor item makes a big difference in dps potential. QoT - She does well what she's supposed to. I would maybe increase the cooldown, but add more damage for her line of spikes so she has at least some anti-dg protection. Shield may need to scale mo
I agree, the balance has been very good. I would only say that UB spit maybe shouldn't effect buildings. Everyone says Erebus' bite is too much, it is really only good midgame...late it doesn't do enough/heal enough..and early it's only slightly better than snipe or other damage dealing abilities (I'll probably get flamed on that. Does less dmg, but heals). I will say that I would like to see some items or ways of boosting skill dmg. Right now, skill builds tend to not be very vi
Those would be all the major ones on my list...+1 vote!
One more shout out for fix the favor! Also, the /nosound thing. Playing only in stereo is kinda a bummer, but I guess it works. Also, I agree with the fix the bugs before adding more content. Focus on making the platform solid and then start adding stuff. The pathfinding/attack switching/no skill use when you press the button I'll just stand here instead bugs are annoying as well. That said, I am excited to hear about the plans for new content!
I agree with most everyone else here...don't let the game get that far. A good skill build will tend to outlevel others up until lvl 15. Just beat them before that point. That said, I do think there should be some +skill dmg items. It would make the game a little more interesting.
Don't let them take the artifact shop!
What Liort said is correct. 70% mana per second means that it increases your rate of mana per second by 70%. In the early game, usually your mana per second number is low. That means a % increase to your mps doesn't really help you much. You're better off getting an item that adds a + to mps. Late game as your + mps number goes up, a % increase actually gives you more regen. That said, where the % items really shine is when you stack it with other items that add large amounts to your
Not really a UB player here, but let me just say that I tested out the spit/ooze/grasp combo and wow! Kills demigods dead and fast. Makes you want to stay far far away from the beast.
Rook is all about map control. Taking and holding an area is his specialty with a slow march forward. He is not weak at all, you just can't play him as agressively as a lot of people do. He's a walking castle, so be a castle! His towers ability is great in the early mid-game and if you get proper mana regen you can slowly take a lane and keep pushing forward. Keep spamming towers and create a farm of them around you. As the old towers die, you keep moving them up the map while slowly forcing
I have a SoundMax HD AD1986 A and I was having these issues. Ran with /nosound, works great. I figured out that if I set my card to stereo/headphones mode and turn the audio quality all the way down to low and no system reverb it doesn't happen as often. That said, it seems to eventually come back after I've played a few games. Really strange. I wonder if there's some kind of memory leak in the sound code that eventually catches up. At any rate, still running with sound seems to impact m
Thanks for sharing! Much appreciated.
Thanks to everyone's help, and Chaosbrynn's massive post. I was finally able to win a game of fortress playing as rook. I didn't buy any pots to start, just the banded mail for the hp regen and a scroll. Danced the front for a while and built up gold. Then as suggested I got the tower upgrades and later the experience and gold upgrades. I played most of the game with the scaled helm and banded mail as my only 2 items! Wild. It was wierd not spending any money on upgrading it
Thanks for the input. I'll keep at it!
Hey Guys, Anyone had success winning games playing the single player tournament against a hard AI team? I find myself repeatedly getting steamrolled. I'll have a good game, but the AI I think on Hard cheats a bit and I have yet to come close to winning a match. Do you all mind helping out with some tips?
What sound are you running? Most people that have had this issue it has to do with the sound. Try running the demigod.exe with the /nosound command at the end. A work around I discovered was that if I set my sound to stereo from quadraphonic/5.1 I no longer had this issue. Others have had success as well.
Kyro, I think you might want to add this fix to a sticky or something. It might help all the people with the stuttering, fps drop, etc problems.
Did you try setting your sound to stereo vs quad/5.1? That's what I had to do and now the game runs pretty well. Still not as smooth as with /nosound, but well enough to play quite nicely on High settings. Hopefully given a little time they'll be able to figure out what the hang up is with the audio coding.
I'll throw in with the comment of WoW on Day 1. I was there, and it was not an experience to be desired. That said, I recoginze a great game when I see/play one and hardly being a Stardock/GPG fanboy this game is a lot of fun. Demigod will probably replace WiC as my quick fix multiplayer game option. Dear Stardock and GPG, Please don't give up on us and support the game! Don't let the bad reviews get you down. Continue the great support/service and your fan base will con
I also had to do the same trick to get Demigod working. Great game, lots of fun. Definitely higher than a 6.5 in my book. Give them some time to clean things up and she'll do right by you.
Hurray for demigod's with no sound! What I did and worked for me was that for some reason if I switch my speaker set-up to headphones (I run quadraphonic normally) it seems to eliminate the problem. You still get sound, just glorious stereo instead of 5.1.
