If I open the research, menu or pirate screen I run the chance of the game crashing. Crash happens at complete random. I've turned everything down to low and have it running in a window but haven't gotten it working.
Well, I have left the game up in hopes that it would recover but it never has.
No, there is no minidump. After the screen turns black I am able to close out the game window via the windows task bar and exit to the desktop; although, I end up restarting my computer anyway because of scroll lag on the monitor, which I'm assuming is caused by the lockup.
Whenever I click on a tab(research,diplomacy, main menu...) during a game the game freezes and shortly after the screen turns black; however, this same crash will eventually occur at random even if I do not click one of these tabs(usually no more than 10 minutes after the start of a game). I have a fresh install of Windows XP sp2, Radeon 9800pro, asrock 939dual-SATA2 motherboard, 1gb ram, 2.3ghz. All the drivers are updated. I am running the game in a window and no setting is abov
