Just started playing. Aside from picking up quests in the wild, is it possible to build some sort of quest hub (tavern, etc) inside my city that would allow me to find more quests for my champions? I seem to hit a wall where all current quests/beasts on the board are too strong for me to face, and I need to find alternate options for experience. It looks like I can have a 25% chance for 1 experience point if I hang out in a city with the

OH GOD STOP BITING ME, WHY WHY CAN'T I KILL YOU! This seems to be how combat always goes for me in Elemental. My "hero" does little to no damage, and followers I get right away don't do much (or any?) damage. I kid you not, the first follower I picked up last game had the ability to strike a blow that would "always hit". But his attack value was 0... I cannot equip these followers it seems, and all I can buy for myself is a...club?</
Looks like I was being dumb, and clicking on the wrong launch button for trinity, so it was launch the original SINS, thats why the version number was wrong. It works now. Thanks!
On a different note, if I lanuch version 1.00, the game doesn't display a menu at the beginning, just an empty frame. Any idea what might be causing this? I'm using 64 bit Win 7.
Good evening. I recently picked up the Trinity 3 pack from Wal-mart, and it installs the game as Version 1.0 I'd like to play a mod (Requiem) that requires version 1.11 However, if I attempt to update through Stardock it puts me at the latest version. Trying to run the mod with this freezes the game. : ( Is there some sort of work around for this? Thanks!
I've never bothered to use this Starbase upgrade, because I'm not sure of its range. Does this blast take out all ships in that gravity well?
Perhaps you had setup the hotkey for scuttling and it hit by mistake? Personally, I think scuttle is too delayed. I cannot select groups of ships and set their scuttle timing all at once, it forces me to go through one at a time.

Wait, so the Advent have a super weapon that fires allegiance . And you're worried about the physics of a big gun that makes planets go boom? lol
And for MP its as stable as any SINS can be. Just make sure yall have the same checksum. Otherwise wont work.
By Checksum do you mean game version, or something else?
Sorry, noob question here, from a new player who hasn't intalled mods yet. What is the "dynamic movement" that this new version of the mod adds? Also, have you found this mod to pretty stable for multiplayer? I've spent the past few weekends LANing this game with a couple friends, and this looks like a nice way to add some different flavor. : ) Thanks!
Has anyone ever heard of or created something like this? A mod that gives the different factions there own unique form of faster than light travel? Right now the "phase space" travel that all races use is very similar to "node line" travel that Humans use in Sword of the Stars. (The only change you would have to make is to greatly increase the travel speed down the phase line). I think with only a little modding the other forms of travel could be added as
You realize of course, that this...means...war.

Frigates aside, if we were to focus just on scouts... ...I'd rather have the Vasari's Scouts neutral refinery capturing ability instead of a little bit of extra dps on a Scout ship.
In my (limited) experience the AI offering you alliance is an excellent opportunity to build a star base over there key planets...
