Yeah I remember suggesting something liek this to scathis too, that long ago .:p Like Regulas getting +range, not getting as much life from it. It sounded like he was going to have more unique things added to it too. I mean he said it was going to get a complete overhaul. Oh well. :x
innociv
Good suggestion.
Would be neater as something like the vision wards which you buy and set on the ground. But it'd be kind of like a must-have item. :x
All values should be tweaked as they are a rough estimate of what would be balanced and useful. Something else I would like to add to the minion summon, but didn't due to clarity in the above paragraph, would be to reduce the time per minion spawn to 18 seconds, but each spawn starts the timer for all three idols, not just the one used.
This would be bad... you couldn't spawn all 3 on respawn. :/ I think the lvl 1-4 idol t
REgulas isn't that bad.. He'd be fixed pretty much by the speed cap like everything else. Only thing making him ridiculous is dps with massive passive snare. It's not like his skills are amazing. Though, snipe is good for shooting at someone running away, but becomes rarely useful at level 15+. Oh, but single skills doing more than 33% slow should work. It's just stacks should only work to 33%. So rooks last level hammer sla
Aye what would be best is a dark and light bar, with dark flags behind the dark bar, and light flags behind the light bar showing how many flags that side has captured. And the bars show the sides progress to the next war level, and current one, for each side. Or something like that
I think one way to give people incentives to use more minions would be to give each general bonuses like the one Oak has with his spirits - the more minions you have, the more powerful your General is. Oak's spirit bonus isn't particularly noticeable as is, but it's a good concept.
This is basically what I meant when I say items for generals. It'd be exactly like that mechanic, pretty
Well stats arent' goign to give much variaty, unless you make the bonus be huge. I assumed the original poster and proponants talking about removing the natural hp+hps/mana+mps/attack speed/dmg/armor bonus you get on every level automatically, and making people spend them. So basically, right now you get 7 stat points per level but the game automatically is putting 1 point in each of the 7 stats. And the idea is to instead get stat points per
I meant xp. It was a fruedian slip. No idea how the heck I did it 3 times. :|
WOW. You mean if generals got 1 gold more than Assassins it would break the game so bad? I didn't realize that the integrity of the game was so fragile. I love how some people, with no game design experience whatsoever, are so certain in their knowledge. I guess it's a good thing I don't design games, I'm sure they'd all tank.
Bleh.. TBO beat me to it. Also, you know Generals can drop items for As
SIGHHHHHHHHH And what's to stop me as a General from JUST buying items with my extra money?! Not like I buy citadel upgrades either, except to get catapultasaurs and giants. I hope GPG knows not to listen to stuffl iek "I think that generals should get 150% more gold than assassins".
Like I said in IRC, I don't think it should be an even split. The 3 people getting 100 xp is bad, but 3 people getting 33.3 xp I don't really like either. I don't think it'd be so awful for the 3 people to get 66 xp. For 2 people capping, 75. Something like that. Like 100-75-66-50-33 per person when it's 1-2-3-4-5 people. :/ But even split is still better than all getting 100 like it does now. /half-signed.
Wow Frogboy. That'd break the game so bad. If that was patched in, say, tomorrow, Generals would be far better than Assassins if it weren't for rook and TB being rather broken. But they'd probably be as good as Rook and TB, still, maybe even better depending on the bonus. But, they wouldn't be good using their minions or idols. They'd still not use minions, they'd be better from using their money bonuses to buy items which make them
Fire Nova, the 8k orb, boulder. Also, heavens wrath is a favor item, so.. :/
All 3 of these maps are the biggest. They also all 3 have 2 spawn portals on the middle edges of the map. I'd really like if one of them, probably Zikkurat, was changed to not have these two side portals, because they're a bit too similar. Maybe one of them could have two flags with a really big benefit, but it requires both flags to get the benefit?
Ah kay. It's not anything i've bothered using.
Pretty much every demigod has AoE, and there is an item that insta-kills small units in AoE. Nightwalkers and Spirits are small. Considering how many things instakill small units, if anything Spriits and nightwalkers should be the best minions..
Aye. Thers a lot to fix with the gameplay before adding more gamemodes. D: Just adding a bunch of stuff doesn't add depth.
After a year they'll probably charge $10 per Demigod... Who knows if they're going to add more skills, redo current ones, redo, fix, and add items for free rather than make people pay for them an expansion and divide the community.
It somewhat is. Might of required recoding lots of things. If that's the gcase, imagine how much worse the game would be, minus the lack of LoS-FoW, if they had to spend time on that instead of other gameplay stuff. :/ But yes, the game should of just been delayed longer.
But.. do we have a lack of choice now? If we do, it's the fault of items and skills, not lack of stats. :/ I guess I just don't see how this will improve the game more than improved items and improved skills will. Stats are usually in mmo's and rpg's more for item requirements. Which they make sense for there. You are kept from having really high armor stats because you need al ot fo str for that big sword. But I'd HATE there to be stat r
Player skill makes a bigger difference than the tiems. I could go without a favor item and beat most people just fine. :\
It's probablly because technical limitations made them unable to make proper Line-of-Sight Fog-of-War.
I still ahve to press C every level. How does this improve customization in a way items can't? If you want a rook to be able to specialize in more health, you can buy a +health item. If you think Rook needs more health, then +health items can be buffed.. But, he doesn't need more. o_O A better solution would be items that give a lot of +health, but subtract damage, I think.
Yeah. The only one that shows well is Sedna and QoT. o_O The others you have to sort of memorize. PArto f hte problem is that they're like dulled out.
