Unless Stardock is using the exact same techonology and code that Apple is using, it shouldn't affect Object Dock. If SD is forced to abandon ObjectDock, then there will be hell to pay.

I like how 1.1 was supposed to be released mid-late September (at one point I believe this was true and I didn't see it change at all) and now it's early October and no one (that I can see) is complaining. I think it's because the gamers here know what it takes to make a game good and support their developers. We have a great community here. So, take your time, IC. I'd rather wait an extra month or two and get an amazing update than get it early and buggy.
I have been playing strategy games for a long time and really enjoy them. From Warcraft to Total War to Sins of a Solar Empire. I have a few questions about GalCiv. 1. What is gameplay and combat like? Is it like Sins of a Solar Empire or more like Total War and Civilizations? Is combat like a Final Fantasy type Turn Based? I am not a fan of FF's style of combat. I find it really boring. 2. How are the combat graphics/overall graphics? Can I zoom in and watch battles like Sins
I've only seen the TIE factory so far. Now I can't wait to see the SD factory. The TIE one was pretty awesome and epic in of itself, so I can only imagine what the SD factory looks like. As far as Eville's talents go, I have complete faith that he can pull something like that off. *And I haven't been able to beat Unleashed yet, so please don't post any spoilers for me and others who want to play the game.
I'll start it: Who's played The Force Unleashed yet? I think the ratings out have been a little harsh. I love the game so far. And as far as it relates to the mod; I don't know if you've seen it yet, but it's no mystery that one of the levels is on an Imperial shipyard. Well in the cutscene before this level, you see the Shipyard from outside and it's massive. I think it would be good to include it in the mod.
Somehow the Star Wars mod topic on a video game forum erupted into a debate about economics...
Oh, here is something I wanted to ask you guys. Many of you have likely read about our new Super Collider and the fears some people have about it creating micro black holes. The physisists are convinced that there is nothing to fear as Cosmic and Solar particles collide all the time and we are still here. So, do you guys think that the infinitely small chance we destroy ourselves is worth the risk of using the collide
Haha...very enjoyable. When is "Little Red Riding Hood" or the "Three Little Pigs" coming?
Or you can use the developer mode and there is an option that will give you all research. The only thing is, it will also give the AI all of its research.
Yes Derbal, if you can do this, that would be great and very appreciated. Glad we are sharing info. Please let me know if you need anything for the Star Gate mod. DANMAN
I totally forgot that I had posted my interdictor version a long time ago on Wincustomize. (March to be exact) Here's [link="https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=36&libid=71"]the Link[/link] The description explains it pretty well I think. You can use my files themselves for the ab
with the interdictors, i would do it like they did in Sw: Empire at War, and have it as an activatable power, but using it strips shields, and renders it almost completely immobile, and severly reduces the damage it can do with it's guns
My version also caused the Interdictor to be unable to auto-fire, but I didn't have it strip shields and be immobile, though this would be easy to achieve.
For the infinite thing, just give it a 1 second duration, 0.5 second cooldown, and 0 antimatter cost. Then, just put it on autocast, and there, you're done.... I think...or you could have a 999999999999999999999999999 duration, 0.00000000000000000001 second cool-down. I think the best way is to make it last for about 60sec., cost 300 anti-matter, a range of around 40000, and a 120sec. cool-down. This way its not unbalanced.Yes, either of these will work to make it last indefinatley. Simpl
I was thinking more on the lines of "Heart and sole" casserole or "Intestinal fortitude" stew, just to levitate the book a bit. Even zombie hunters/survivalizts have to eat
Ha. Yea. We'll probably do a section on eating/hunting. It should cover everything from foods you can stash for later (canned foods) to things you should enjoy know before the zombies feast on your brains (steak). Also, how to hunt, what to hunt, what to hunt with
Will it have a recipe section?
Of course...We'll be including a how-to chapter detailing how to mix two different ingredients in a blender and create a tasty treat that will also let you spit bullets that are easily capable of killing zombies.
I am using this space to announce the beginnings of a complete, uncut zombie survival guide that a friend and I are writing. It will include everything that has to deal with surviving the zombie apocaplyse. And it will include our sometimes twisted humor, as well as references to pop culture. (Expect a massive amount of Shaun references.) So far we have begun researching the various weapons that could/will be used. This is, as of now, broken up into three different categories.&nb
Has anyone figured out how to modify/create texture animations? I'm trying to create an animation for the Stargate mod for when the Stargate Activates and the white pre-swoosh effect comes in a ring from the outside and meets in the center of the Stargate. Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWGAwLDdNFQ for a visual look. I'm talking about the effect immediatly before the big wave thing. Back to my main purpose, I want to make
Or you could just bomb the planet until everyone's dead and you can settle in easily. Wait... This was done in some game...But all the useful infrastructure tends to get blown up as well.
Touche. But I wasn't really a fan of their architecture anyways.
For ground invasions... maybe have ground attacker ships with a number of troops in them. when given the order "invade planet" they send down troops. there is a little bar on the planet that shows the progress of your troops.
Or you could just bomb the planet until everyone's dead and you can settle in easily. Wait... This was done in some game...
I like to build a couple hangars near my research stations, then stick a repair platform to cover all of them. Then surround them with defense platforms. It seems to hold off the enemy attack long enough until I can get a fleet in, but both forms of defense are crap when it comes down to it.
Well back to topic. I really wanna help you, but I think you create too much ships on your own. Of course it's good to make your fantasy become real in Soase. I know many guys, who made their own ships too. But first, they integrated REAL Stargate ships into their mod (A mod, built up with the original Stargate Mod...). Well I hope you make more real Stargate ships. That's all I want to say.
All ships that are seen within Stargate Atlantis already have some sort of ba
that happens in the show, though with Earth, which is considerably bigger. also what about time dilation? too much hard coding?
Actually it might be possible. We could give a planet a buff that would either speed everything within the gravity well up or slow it down. We can modify build times, ship speed, hyperspace charge up, etc. to make it seem like everything is moving faster or slower. The only thing is, the player will be able to tell this is happening wherea
Could there be cloaking?
As of now, no. There are too many hard-coded limits on the cloaking buff. These limits make the ship unable to move, fire, use abilities, etc. So until that is loosened, cloaking will probably not be in the mod.
Looks good. One suggestion for the title; "Bloody Holiday: The Flesh of July." Then if you do a sequel or something, you can do another holiday and title that "Blood Holiday: Whatever."
Or "Too Many Damn Zombies on my bloody Holiday!"
unfortunately I have not seen diary of the dead yet because it's not showing anywhere near where I live (at least last time I checked). but yes I'm a huge fan of George Romero and I'm hoping to capture the feeling from his movies in my game!
It's out on DVD. You have to at least go rent it or something or pick it up on Amazon. It's amazing. George actually provides a pretty valid explanation why zombies can't move fast in it, and the camera
