If I ever have the opportunity to borrow it (which is very unlikely) I think I may need to try it out. It's also VERY UNFORTUNATE that Metacritic recognizes 2404. 2404's review looks like an outlier considering the glowing reviews from other, more respectable and reputable reviews.

I enjoy the game a lot and would give it a 85-90% rating but I am pretty surprised that the vast majority of gaming critics (2404 or whatever excluded) give it very high honors. I thought the game would not appeal to the mainstream RTS fans. Nowadays, a lot of gamers have very short attention spans. Most RTS games like Command and Conquer 3, Starcraft, etc. have very fast and visually appealing battles that last a minute at most. Minerals and resources are obtained at a much faster rate and

Problem Installing 1.2 in Technical Sins Forums

I am having difficulty installing patch 1.2. I downloaded the patch from the website and installed it without a problem but on the bottom right corner of the game, it says the game is still v 1.0. I would like to install the patch ASAP because there are a few mods I would like to try out and apparently v1.0 does not have a mods folder. Also, I am running VISTA.

I am interested in the game and was wondering how many hours you put into it before you completed the game. Other than COD4 I dislike short games and will avoid this one if the gameplay is less than ~10 hours.

I also found it a little odd that the SP lacked a storyline. The introduction had a pretty cool discussion of the races but there is no campaign? I thought a more appropriate intro would be cool clips of two battleships duking it out or something.
