To the OP: The thing you are doing wrong is not winning the pirate bidding war. If you fail you need to put up a strong defence or lose 1 planet, not the end of the world. The Pirates have been beefed up to make them an actual element to the game counter

Best site for reviews is metacritic, unless you are a PS3 or X-Box owner who has to put up with each others fan boys scewing your user reviews. As a guide critic review score should be the score you take if you have no bias towards the type of game, user review score should be used more if you are in love with the genre. Gametrailers is pretty good, but it's also pretty good at getting you psyched up about trash from good trailers, EA are so good

My first real play of Diplomacy in Sins Diplomacy Sins Forums

I'm really pleased, played a few games briefly during beta and didn't really get it, mainly because most of the diplomacy stuff wasn't in there, my first chance to get a good session in I went TEC. HOURS later I got a Diplomatic victory and I had some immense fun allying with a single AI, getting all chummy and beefing him up. The AIs that tried to backstab me shot their chance and me and my orange silicon brained buddy wiped the floor with them :) Pros:</

Just had a play a bit with this mod as I hadn't checked on Demigod modding before and I'm really impressed, it's way more challenging (read fun), even on normal difficulty they are better than what they used to be like on Hard when they were cheating!
