Get Staff of Renewal and Hammer Slam on Rook. Cast Hammer Slam. When there is about 6.5 seconds left on the cooldown use the staff of renewal. As soon as Hammer Slam is cooled down cast it again. As soon as Hammer Slam is cooled down (should be 5 seconds) cast it again. If timed correctly, the Staff of Renewal buff should end while you are casting the third Hammer Slam. This causes the cooldown on Hammer Slam to go back up

I'm only suggesting it be an option, not a permanate change. There are times when you know one team or the other is better so it would be nice to be able to add AI to balance things out. At the moment though adding an AI is known to be bad for the game overall.
It would be nice if there was a game option that made it so AI controlled Demigods aren't worth any gold when killed. This would effect both AI that replace players and AI added to the game at lobby.

So we were talking today about how to counter the infamous Rook + Unclean Beast combination. It sounds like you are pretty confident in the meta-game countering so I would be curious to hear what your suggestions are against that combo? The general strategy is to take Staff of Renewal on Rook so he can double boulder/smash and then have either UB or rook take warpstone as soon as they can. By doing this they are able to jump a target (either just by engaging them on foot o
Yes, please . I have a Dvorak keyboard and want to remap WASD to ,AOE.
While I agree with all of the aformentioned reasons why you should be able to change those key bindings, this is by far the most compelling one. Dvorak is one of many keyboard layouts that people use and not letting them change keys away from the default basically means they can't use those keys. It's not like you just have to "get used" to using WASD instead of whatever else yo
Already had the item and had free space for it.
If you pick up an item off the ground that you already have (not including stackable consumables) the item will disappear off the ground but you wont' get a copy in your inventory.
There should be a way to see your "Custom Game Rank" on the player profile page. When I search for myself and find my profile page there is no way (that I can find) to figure out what Custom Game rank I have. As far as I can tell, the only way to find this information is to scroll through hundreds of entries in the Custom Game Ranking list.
I joined a custom game and in the lobby my name showed up (to myself and others) as "ImpulsePlayer". The lobby was eventually abandoned and the next game (same host) I was back to Micah71381.
Connectivity is expected once I attempt to login to the multiplayer section. I would not expect any connections to be made before the main menu. On top of that, it's a bug that the game locks up when a connection cannot be established. It should either be done in the background or polled periodically, not blocked until the connection succeeds.
Currently if you are Erebus (haven't tested with other general's minions) and you tell him to move to a location his minions form a line centered at him. This becomes a problem wihen you have 10+ minions out at a time because they often will line up into towers. It would be more useful if they would cluster or circle around Erebus instead.
Stardock's servers were down last night for whatever reason and when I tried to login to multiplayer the connection would timeout eventually and tell me that my username/password was wrong, even though I was using the cached credentials (so I know the username/password was correct). The correct error message should have been something like what Impuls said along the lines of, "Unable to establish a connection to server."
Last night Stardock's servers were down for whatever reason (couldn't login to Impulse, couldn't play Demigod online, couldn't connect to forums, etc.). When I tried to launch Demigod under these conditions the game would hang for an extended period of time just after the intro movie before the main menu appears. Now I'm a big fan of Stardock primarily because of their anti-DRM policy and while I trust that this isn't caused by a DRM phone home, it sure feels like the exact same
AI can be ranked as long as the AI can also lose rating. The way the system works is such that if the AI truely does suck a lot it's rating will go down. As it's rating goes down it becomes worth less and less to real players when they beat it. Eventually the AI will get to the point where a high ranked player will only get a fraction of a rating from the AI but they will lose a ton if the AI wins. Assuming there are actually real players involved as well, the AI mat
Sounds to me like an even match, not a balance issue. If both teams are stacking armor/health/regen your best bet is to focus on the push.

In Google Chrome, clicking on the text inside the player search box does not clear the next nor does it move the cursor to the box. However, clicking in the box but *after* the "Player Search" string does the expected behavior. I know how much web developers love browser compatability issues. :D
I would give you +1 karma for the update but it Karma doesn't work in Google Chrome. :P
Baldur's Gate was not real-time. Also, RPG indicates plot/story and long term character development/advancement. While Demigod does have leveling within the game, I think that is the only thing that makes it "RPG" like.
Got a screenshot of it. http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/1327/toweroflighttooltip.jpg
Looks like the new site is up, though games still aren't showing up properly (I have a game listing that I'm not in and several games listed where the players aren't showing up on the correct teams, etc.) Should we start reporting bugs for the new site as if they are new bugs or is what launched this morning just a UI upgrade (no backend code changed)?
I opened the ports necessary for IRC (6660-6669) but both still don't work for me.
http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/3961/pantheongooglechrome.jpg That's what it looks like in Google Chrome.
Technically I think Demigod is an RTS in that it's a real-time strategy game. It just doesn't have a lot of the elements that a traditional RTS has (base building, creep produciton, resource harvesting, etc.). From an engine/perspective/control point of view though it's an RTS.
