How Do You Beat A Huge Map? in Single Player Stardock Forums

Have you guys ever beat a huge map? It's taking forever, and I'm so frustrated that I just can not continue playing it. It's just too painful. My fleet is just big enough to cover my empire, and my empire is only like half of a star. The minute you choose to go after one empire, three others come in through warps and attack the planets that your attack fleet used to cover. AI fleets just jump in from stars, warps, everywhere they can and just lay waste to my planets, forcing to pull back. And th
