New races? in Sins Modding Sins Forums

Has anybody actually created their own race as in ships, and not just re-textured exsisting ones? I know about the startrek ones but are there any others? I checked the library and didn't find anything. Edit: Does anybody know what happened to the mod that was creating a insect like race from scratch? I searched through 20 pages and couldn't find it.

Runabouts are ok, but shuttles suck, would rather see something else as fighters, the val would be a much better choice IMO, but if you NEED to do a shuttle please do the voyager ones (type 9 I believe)or the delta flyer.

Soviet technology was pretty much equal to German tech during Op Barbarossa. Germans just had twice the actual amount of equipment due to the fact that they had already been at war for several years. Also German army doctrine more closely related American tactics, armor supported by infanty while the soviets went infantry supported by armor (which was the basic doctrine used by all the nations during WW1). Please continue with the mod, one suggestion though would be to maybe stay away from the actual flat tops and focus more on battleships, cruisers and destroyers. Maybe use the hybrid Ise class battleships from Japan that combined battleship with carrier. Or maybe a ship with a internal launch bay with gun mounts on the exterior. But good work, will give this mod a try on release. Oh, not sure if it's possible but maybe different kinds of fighters too?

Klingons had 1 ship, all the rommies had it except colony and transport ships. You would go into a battle with klingons, at least you could target ANY other ships, you go into a battle with romulans and they could take half your fleet out without you even getting a shot in. No, more worried about the romulans.

Who cares what the other idiots say. I've found that generally the people that hate MS are the people who think MS knocked their mommy up and 9 months later they popped out and have no daddy.
