@ Thoumsin That is good news, for the modding community. It is sad though, if you look at the mod section, there are actually a few attempts people have made to give Sins a campaign. I'm pretty sure I even tried a while back. If you could add in in-game cut-scenes and voice acting, then ther

Noted. Moving on with my life. I'll keep an ear out for a campaign mode. @Psychoak, You're a shining contribution to the stardock community, may your bashing live on.
Hmmm... There has to be some old 'RELICs' still in there... You know, the guys who actually saw starwars when it first came out, then went on to make the best space-rts in the world. Yeah those guys(I know you're in there!!!) Well despite the developing eployee's background, what one man can do another can do. The groundwork has already been laid by Homeworld. Just like Browning had to do with his colt 45 after he did not have the patten. He had to make a better, more versatil
Seriously, wtf is all that comes to mind when I think of SoaSE with no campaign. I see these emails telling me about how awesome the next expansion will be but STILL no campaign-story mode? I bet there are a ton of these rants... Just to be sure, you ARE the same guys who made Homeworld, right? If you are, please note: I LOVE YOU. Sorry for the tough love, but I have spent many, many hours on SoaSE. I have made my own maps, and had hilarious fun playin
Im in. I have weekends off, and can play any time before 4:30pm pacific. My computer has been tested in a full scale game on that caliber of a map. It should hold true. [email protected] let me know!
25 stars is really cool if done on the random map generator in-game. Whats always fun to do, is to make the first star belong to no one, and give it lots of wormholes and asteroids, so the wormholes connect to various other parts of the "mini galaxy." I would definitely be into something like this. 5v5... wheres the sign up? this will take tricky planning to get everyone on agree-able playing schedules.
uzii you're a man after my own heart. Now what you need to do is make different shades of oceanic. Some may have more elements than the typical blue water, changing it up a bit. Green, orange/red? Also, if you could somehow add moons, I would loooooove you.
nah, that was the image .jpg it wanted me to upload. Instead of "Name of Map: _____" it says "Name of Skin: _____". But im at the "upload map" page. ..?
So I made a map with a total of 22 stars. http://img444.imageshack.us/my.php?image=neareststarskz8.jpg Each star is a real star picked from a list of our closest neighboring stars (example: Alpha Centauri A & B). Their locations were based on a snapshot of our little part of the galaxy, with the galactic center being towards the bottom of the Sins map. Each star is color coordinated based off their actual star color. Planetary contents are of course, only educated assumptions/guesses, but don
I think Binary stars could be done no problem if they gave us a Z axis in galaxyforge. The creators of Homeworld are masters of the Z axis. I want one for galaxyforge =(.
Do you guys sense that some things are missing from the spectrum of solar objects? I feel like there just isn't enough variety in what there is to find in a solar system. What if some of those asteroids with metal/crystal that orbit every colonizable planet were 40%% of the time moons? We would need a skin for moons... That could be tricky. What if there were oceanic planets? Could be uncolonizable or colonizable ( new research implemented? aquatic occupation research? ) Some
