There's no need for a 'socialism vs capitalism' debate. Socialism can exist in a capitalist framework. Anyone who wants to live in a socialist society, can band together with other people who want to. Create group owned industries, housing projects, entire cities if you want. Share all the wealth of everyone who joins the socialist organization. Just interact with people who want to live by their own terms on their own terms.
