custom avatars wouldn't work when i had first tried putting mine in a few months ago. i believe it was because of the dimensions and picture format. its best to choose one from the list rather than upload your own.
Im assuming these are forum avators? Nice job I'm actually thinking is it possible to add alternate avators to the factions in game, you know how by default there are 3 sets? Is there a possibility to add some of the ones on this topic into the game? Its no big deal Im just curious as usual hehe
Yes, these are forum avatars. I believe a while back, somebody had created a mod that added in more faction avatars to the game.
The TEC, because their us, and their fighting a losing battle. :HOT:
could you provide more specific details? ;)
The key to most rts and 4x games is fleet diversity. by having a mix of ships, each with their own ability, a fleet gains strength. Without this system, nobody would bother building firgates, as a crusiers would out perform them in every aspect. A good fleet is one that has ships that support each other, and help the fleet perform better as a whole.
humm, that makes sense. but the best system imo is one that if i have a fleet cap of 500-900, i'll pay anywhere from 30-50% depending on the # of ships i have. a completely dynamic approach, where the more ships i have, the more upkeep i pay. I'll still have to research to gain higher limits, but if i have 0 fleet cap used, i'll pay 0% upkeep.
I've updated Galaxy Forge for Solar Sins. You can check the link on my forum:https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/304538/page/1Thanks Danman for your hard work. I know you spend lots of hours to try and release this as soon as possible.
thanks for that! i'll try it l8r tonight. :CONGRAT:
ugh, i can't wait for this! :CONGRAT:
I meant, could you say what some of the new properties stars have are, whether you have to research to colonize them, that sort of thing.
There are multiple stars. Rouge Blue to Rouge Red, to White even. Each star has a varing amount of resource asteroids. But i've seen some Rouge Red stars with 6 crystal and 2 metal asteroids. Yes, there is a research to them, a lv. 6 research, that also allows you to colonize gas giants aswell as stars.
7 Deadly Sins not only includes those, but a new race aswell. Plus more to come, like more races. Essientally Solar Sins deals with all stellar objects, eg. stars, black holes... 7 Deadly Sins puts Solar Sins together with other mods, like the Atlantian race. I believe he included the other mods with Solar Sins because they contribute to the graphical aspect, and with the spatial aspects. For now, the bulk of 7DS is Solar Sins, with all that it incorporates, a
nice. :CONGRAT:
@ Maldon, yes it is compatiable with 1.04 :) @ Tsear, Solar sins adds colonizable stars, more spatial anomolies, and soon, black holes! :d @WebReg, Solar Sins is a standalone mod that adds stars and other phenomina found in space. 7 Deadly Sins is a major compilation of Solar Sins, Baliknights graphical enhancement, Uzii's Sins Plus, and a few more mods, like a new race, the Atlantians. In short, its just a bunch of mods put together to form one big mod. :HOT:
Just do what i did, and go into the game files, and make it so you have completed all the achievements. Its a lot easier than actually finding the space ponies, and its what a true pink space pony would do. :CONGRAT:
I'm partial to the TEC, but even if i wasn't, I'd choose the Kol. Espically with the visual enhancement mods, the Kol is a beast. :HOT:
just thought people would like to know, but i have vista ultimate, and this is the folder i use: C:\User\**YOURNAME**\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\ and it works fine for me. Too bad its a hidden folder by default, so i have to keep on typing the entire adress. :(
Awolf, that doesn't completely merge the mods. Using Win Merge, i compared some of the files provided in the Wld Merge folder, and the stats were different. Not sure if that was just the mod i was comparing it to though. (compared 7DS to Wld) and Lost_Wld said that the different weapon points of each ship had to be changed. I believe that involves changing each ship, and redirecting the weapon meshes and textures to the ones Wld made. I'm just gonna wait till v2.0 befo
yes Nisyu, versions 1.1 and 1.2 of this mod DO work with v1.04 :)
very nice! can't wait to play with the moons! oh, and i signed up for your forums. keep it up! :CONGRAT:
the sad, sad truth. :SNIFF!: its sad that its come to this, all this war and hate. Now there are only 2 options for the world. 1) Aliens attack the Earth, and humanity unites to defeat them. 2) This is even less likely, a very inteligent and humanatarian leader comes into power, and unites the world via diplomacy. With all these wars, invasions, casualties, and cruelties; we lose sight of the things that matter. We're all humans.
well, i prefer an upgraded fleet, but like mentioned earlier, the upgrades amount to a small percentage. your better off spending those credits into a fleet that's twice as large. but again, end game, when fleet cap is near the max, the upgraded fleet will win (equal # of ships) Kinda like Elite Military Divisions, 1 Squad of Commandos or 250 Light Militia?
Thanks Dan.Aye, meant to say Sin's Plus sorry about that, though I am glad to hear you plan on releasing it alone though @UEFI have all the files needed as I've been making for awhile now, but to use the new plants from the mod in the forge itself. I remember having to edit a file though don't recall which, nor what to add anymore.
don't know about that one, since i haven't actually made a map using Sins Plus in Galaxy Forge. I just play on Huge Multi Random maps. sorry i
This thing is so serious...And awesome...can't forget awesome. This might have been asked already, so my apologies, but is this compatible with Sins 1.04?Also, I imagine that all these changes will make the game at least slightly more demanding graphically, is that right?Amazing work, I really appreciate the time and effort it took to put this beast together. I'm waiting on my bran spankin new MSI 8800GT, can't wait to see how this baby runs on that. Keep it up!
1) Yes, i
very nice! downloading as i type. can't wait to try it out! :CONGRAT:
i believe the devs made the limit 10, because if player A had a level 15 cap, (from killing pirates, rebels, and local militia) it'd be nearly impossible to beat the ship without a massive fleet. lets face it, a lv. 1 cap is no match for a lv. 15 cap that can do over 1,000 damage in a single shot (reference to Kol's Gauss Cannon, which does 800 damage at max right now, but with higher levels comes more damage to each ability) but yes, a lv. 100 ship would so pwnzor, and i'd love to see
@ maheshjr2004 well, Uranium-235 did state that open-source commies make him mad, and linux does have many open source versions. linux is very handy (though i don't use it, no need), and can do many things windows can't. It is also more secure, faster, and versatile than windows. yay for rasing hope in humanity!!! but alas, we make up a small fraction of people in the world, and tough i'm usually an optimist, but my faith in humanity is also pessimisitc. :SNIFF!:
