you guys got frogboy's attention over here http://forums.demigodthegame.com/355935 . Great work on this bman! I think the community would love if this or something extremely like this gets added to the game officially. Brilliant!

I personally chose the e8400 for my build because its dual core at a higher clock speed than a comparably priced quad. And if my games can't benefit from the 2 extra cores on a quad, then high clock speed = better value. It's been a bit since I read of on this, but when I made the decision to get a dual core over a quad, that pretty much decided it for me. Oh, and don't get me wrong. I would personally love to get an i7 rig. Always nice to have the latest

Thanks for those quick additions Frogboy. Wow... the changes on the heart of life are going to cause me some pain... hehe... seems like it must be getting a price bump (or it will be the cheapest artifact). Looks like quite a few good enhancements are being baked in... glad to hear the idol exploit is being resolved... hoping the AI update adds a little more challenge to the little guys. I'm really glad to see the team concede option added as well. I've got to agr

Yargnit provided some decent specs, but I'd recommend going with a cheaper motherboard/cpu setup. I highly recommend the e8400 processor along with an ASUS P5Q Pro motherboard. You are still paying a pretty big premium on an i7 setup. Then, you could allocate additional money to a higher end graphics card.

You'll get a serial number very quickly after your purchase... in my experience, within minutes. If you somehow have the game installed already, I believe you can register the game in impulse using the serial. But, if bandwidth isn't an issue, you can just buy the game and then download directly through impulse without having to toy around with registration.

Several of us have suggested that the dev journals be locked down after posts are made. One of the reasons this was suggested was to minimize the flaming over technical issues and complaints filling up several pages... which at least I felt would logically lead to the dev's not being as forthcoming and sharing all the behind the scenes info with us. Anyway, I came across my first locked dev journal today, so it looks like perhaps they are trying out that r

I totally agree with Night Train. Unless there was some insane deal going on, I would not buy a desktop from anyone. I'd just build it myself after pricing out the best components. You could easily get a decent rig for 600 and an excellent one for 800. Check out here http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=190314&t=553826&highlight=intel as it

Well... at one point, favor points just weren't tracking correctly. I'm not sure if that's bottomed out 100% now or not, but I do not think I currently have any problems. I do think it would be really useful if someone that actually knows posted the details on when exactly you get favor and when you don't. Obviously, its confusing to see that I earned X favor at the end of a match only to receive none... and that's exactly what can happen as indicated in my OP. I don't

From what I've heard from Stardock, the outtage occurred because their ISP did unscheduled maintainence and did not notify them. So, that crap is hardly their fault. You could address there not being enough redundancy or "worst case" scenario planning, but it is what it is. Please start your own "sd suck mah balls" thread if you feel the need. The specific issue regarding this thread (which I opened) has been resolved as indicated in the 1st post.

This is a strange one, but so far appears to be related to my specific setup (as no one else seems to have the same issue). I restarted a few times and now this is resolved... perhaps something due to Windows 7's current handling of memory or a driver issue with current nvidia. Anyway, this can probably be closed out.

Here are the details - when I patched the game today to 1.01.106, my game would not launch. I'd see the demigod splash screen and then the game would crash. I get a pop up saying unable to start. Unable to create Direct3d. Please ensure system has current video drivers. Then I see an unhandled exception popup (screenshot sent to support). If I delete game.prefs, I can get the game to launch normally again. BUT, when I change anti-aliasing sett

In case you have issues updating (like I did), exit impulse and try again. I actually had to do this 3 times for it to work, but it did. Here's the changelog. Thanks Stardock! Demigod v1.01 (1.01.106 on Impulse) -------------------------------- + Made data packet size smaller which should help people whose routers don’t allow such large packets. The symptoms of this are losing connection to the NAT facilitator or the connection dialog sh
