ugh... I just saw that in a post from frogboy on chat. I really do appreciate the update. That sucks! Not much you can do about that garbage.

I HAD precisely this issue in the past... right down to a reboot of the OS will resolve the problem... until it happens again. I've posted this fix in the past and then there are typically no replies afterwards. Please, try it out and post your results. I can only speak for my router's setup for part of this... taken from another post i made I believe I was able to resolve it by re-configuring my router (WRT54Gv8) and reco
yeah - good point fred. They do keep us well informed during the week. Just a little frustrated about the login/pw issue last night. Hoping what happened and how it was fixed is addressed. Also that perhaps the issue is acknowledged...
Dah - something was done around noon that appears to have resolved the issue. If you tried the same thing at 10am ET, it would not have worked.
dah... look up 4 posts from your's kryo and see the times of the outage. see here for details on the outage last night - http://forums.demigodthegame.com/355265
Additional info over here from login/pw failures last night... problems started around midnight ET and appear to have been resolved around 11:30-12:30am ET today. http://forums.demigodthegame.com/355265
There is an option in there. I'm not sure why you cannot see it... hmm. For me, it shows up as the 1st possible option for video settings.
The admins can pretty easily update the chat code in impulse when you join channel demigod (and you can do this through impulse directly even with the login/pw issue). And by the way, the login/pw issue appears to have gone on for about 13 hours without any explanation or a "were looking into it" thread. It seems to have been resolved internally between 11:30am - 12:30am ET. (see over here for as many details as I could piece together... be aware that unfortunately the threa
Thanks for the response and for whatever was done to resolve the login/pw issue... nice to get back online again.
guys... I was unable to login for about 13 hours. Deleting 'Games.prefs' had zero impact. I could have done a fresh install and I'd still be screwed. It appears as if the issue may have been fixed between 11:30pm and 1pm ET today. The solution needs to come from stardock in the form of some auto-logout... edit - so I just saw that the fix you suggested was from stardock... hmm... It still seems like something must have been done on stardock's side to re
hey - about 13 hours later, I can log in again. I wonder why? At least I can log in again though... anyone else find that this issue is now resolved? If anyone is still having issues, see over here - http://forums.demigodthegame.com/355330 I personally think Stardock did something between 11:30am-12:30am ET today to resolve the issue, but this guy thinks he might have the trick... and there is some info from SD
How - so I am now at 9+ hours without being able to login. That's pretty awesome. Same message as before in demigodlog file - Sorry, but you have exceeded the max logins for this account.
maybe if you make another list: "work but are known to have issues"
agreed.
1 more thing... apparently there are some issues with the game lists updating properly as well... not sure as I can't look at custom games due to login, but perhaps all issues are related...

Ok. Last attempt made for the night for me. No success. I gave it about 32 minutes without a login attempt and no dice. Here's some more info from my latest demigodlog file: nfo: Error from CVP. Response XML: 5203 Sorry, but you have exceeded the max logins for this account. Please try again
Hey - so a friend of my says he still isn't getting favor points all the time. For me, it seems like I get them most if not all of the time. Anyway, I was on chat tonight when Kryo made a comment about favor points. He said: if the other team drops and you end against only AI, no favor. I didn't know that, so just FYI in case anyone else out there was unaware. If that's the case 100% of the time, if everyone but you drop
the login issue has happened in the past, but appears to be more widespread tonight (see here http://forums.demigodthegame.com/355265 ). I totally feel your pain. It is what it is, though. If you search the forums, you will see that SD has been up front about the issues facing this game. I even bought a friend of mine a copy of the the game when the 50% off coupon went out... whom I can't play the game with due to co

I'm over an hour now as well. I just tried to login again.... I see something I didn't notice or is new now in the demigodlog file. It reads: Sorry, but you have exceeded the max logins for this account. Please try again later. 30 info: Impulse error when calling GetPlayerData in A
I did a test yesterday with a friend to see what it would take to lag out a game. I launched a game with me and that friend, then logged into speedtest. My friend noticed 0 issues during the download test. When the upload test was running, he said my ping spiked and he experienced very high amounts of lag. So, based on that, I'd say, if you are the only person on your network, you must not have enough upload bandwidth OR this issue might be with simspeed.
What I'm saying is that if the servers we are connecting to are stardock's and we can't login, then its an SD issue. I get what you are saying though. I will add that I really don't know... I'd think logging in is all SD code, but I don't know for sure.
xnay on the monthly subscription aeyy but seriously... shortlived... you have time to post right now because you can't login to play demigod. I really don't think that is a gpg issue in this case...
I've only ever had excess flood when I logged into chat via impulse, then logged in via the game... and then, only once (eg not reproducible for me).
i will... only going to stick with this for a bit longer before going to bed... ugh. another thought... I'm looking at my demigodlog file. There's a parameter called and it appears to have a value of 30. I wonder if we waited 30 minutes without attempting to login again, if we'd be able to do so then... no idea if that logically follows with the code, but this doesn't appear to be resolving itself as is for me. shortlived- odds a
