This is exactly what I'm trying to say. Step back a moment from seeing the game as units and stats, immerse yourself in a world that exists. Use your imagination. So many people rely on others to give them something good. This has its drawback -less and less people are willing to go out and Make something. Yes, yes I've seen the many posts about singleplayer campaigns. I agree that there are some fabulous campaigns out there that hook you in until the the end making you wish for more. I also agree that not every game requires a campaign. Just a little imagination. Hence, I made my own little fansite thing. Being an average roleplayer on many games, I enjoy a little storymaking myself. Why be dependent on everyone all your life? Make it your own story! For those that seem interested, stop on by.
