ah, that goes a long way towards explaining the problem with stats.
No, you really don't qualify for it but like I said, for you, I'll make an exception as long as you never buy anything from us again.
This is why I like you and your company. [e digicons][/e] and of coarse all that other stuff you guys do like support your games properly.
I appreciate what you are saying and yeah, I had a game go that way yesterday. None the less, I can't think of a better approach than what has been offered up. If the majority of my team wants to call it quits, then I'll just have to accept that.
Best case scenario, you got a mild chuckle out of this thread. And by thread, I mean the video.
Zing. If I wanted to engage in 4chan style "humor" I'd go straight to the source. I will keep the video, the rest can be safely disposed of in the nearest recycle bin.
And a light finaly appears at the end of this long dark tunnel.
I love those graphs, incredible! Keep up the good work Gunslinga! [e digicons]k1[/e]
They'll be adding all that good stuff soon. Don't you dare take away my PUG Pantheon mode though.
Quoting ZehDon, reply 23 If your in America, for example, and you connected to an Australian game your 'ping' would be higher than everyone elses and possibly outside the acceptable range. You'd have the bad 'ping'. It's entirely situational. Gee, that's insightful, really, thank you for that, bravo. And thank you for not reading the entire thread, oh and thanks for taking the cheap shot at Americ
Do not listen to VyperXXX, as he said himself, he has NO IT experience. Spooky is exactly right. Demigod performs nearly identical to Supreme Commander when it comes to ping and latency issues. Anything under 350 is going to be fine. Even 400 should be fine. It's not the ping that is the issue, its how stable a ping is. If someone has a ping of 150 but it isn't stable, and it spikes all over the place, you are going to have stuttering.
Everytime I stop by this forum the quality of its citizens seems to have eroded further.. [e digicons][/e]
OP, I think your complaint is misguided here. This mechanic needs to remain the way it is. The deterent and difficulty in taking down a citadel is sufficient in the other modes. There are sound arguments for keeping it this way too. For instance, in slaughter, the enemy team can draw out the game nearly indefinitely by camping the health crystal once they start to lose.
UB is easy to handle as Sedna unless he's being fed by others.
We had this in the beta from a mod by Chirmaya, it was great. If they hadn't disabled UI mods from working online, we would have this feature right now.
Sedna is one of my favorites, and yes, she is very powerful when played right. I have a couple tips for opening play as this is where I see a lot of new sedna players mess up. Early game one of her biggest advantages is staying power, especially against assassins. Right off the bat I go for two things. lvl1 priests and heal. Early game this lets you stay in the action, while others are forced to retreat to the health crystal, you ar
This would never be a problem if the warpstone hadn't been nerfed to uselessness. I felt this was a valid tactic in the beta and since everyone could do it, it was fair. Now warpstone can't reach that far, meaining only Erebus can accomplish this. I don't agree with removing the portal flag, I think the map is fine like this. Give warpstone its range back and leave it at its current price.
Demigod sold more Digitaly then it did Retail. If those were counted, it would be #1.
It's being done intentionally now by quite a few though, starting to become a problem if you can "force" a 2v1 game and therefore pretty much garuntee the win... number of times now i either get kicked while the game is connecting, or everyone else gets kicked and I'm left to fight 2v1 is getting stupid
If that's the cause it would be difficult to take advantage of. On the connecting screen you can't
The bots are really only supposed to be there for newbies. I find I'm getting bots very rarely now, excepting people getting dropped right when the game loads. They have stated this is being fixed, and I've noticed a big improvement since.
At one point in the beta that was going to be a feature that pitted high ranked players against more numerous lower ranked players. I've been told by other testers since that they scrapped that. So, as to this being a bug or a leftover feature, I don't know. My best guess right now is that it's a bug where the AI doesn't always take over when a player drops before the game is finished loading.
Team Pantheon will be a nice addition. However, I love the current Pantheon and Skirmish mode. I haven't gotten involved in clans/guilds/organized teamplay since I quit MMO's. Having game modes where I know I can't be stacked against, that everyone enjoys the same luck of the draw on map, mode, player skill and numbers; it's a good thing for me. Custom games should fill the void until they get Team Pantheon in.
I have little sympathy for you Andrew. You were never misled, the game was advertised, promoted and reviewed as a multiplayer centric game. Had you actually read what the reviews were saying you would have known the singleplayer was little more than training wheels for the core game.
From the QoT lore: Regardless, the man came back to the same spot a day later, and she was there to greet him. Again were his eyes transfixed upon her (less upon her face than on her other parts, she noted), and his breathing became uneven. At last he could not control himself and took her in his arms, pressing his mouth against hers. She had little time to resist, since the color quickly went out of his face and he dropped to the ground, dead. She felt his life force f
