Agreed that this is exactly like a FPS. I remember last game when I was playing Regulus. I lined up my sniper rifle, shot at the guy, but hit him in the chest, and he had an overshield on, so he lived :( I couldn't get a second shot, as one of my teammates caught him with a sticky grenade. Good stuff.
Not really much of a forum poster (on this, or any other game), but I felt the need to post here. Still a no-go. Did exactly what you said, and tried a few other things... turned the Mutisampling to 4, then 2, then 1, then 0. Kept lowering and lowering the resolution. Still a no go. I wanted to put screenshots on Imageshack, and registered for an account, but they still haven't sent a confirmation to my hotmail. :( Nothing works right this week!

No, other than The Political Machine 08, which does something very similar (weird white/black gunk on the screen, can't see Demigod or political bobblehead (in PMac08) ).
I cannot for the life of me find a crossfire tab under the catalyst control panel. Anything ELSE I can try? To say that this frustrating is an understatement. I understand that this is only a beta, but since the same thing is happening with Political Machine, they must be somehow connected.
Hmm... any idea where I'd turn off the crossfire? Yeah, things are cool, that's no problem. I don't have this problem with any other game, so I have no idea.

Everytime I enter a game, there are weird black lines where the candidate should be. I disabled "Draw Outlines" and now NO candidates show. When I actually start a game, there are no icons that show no the map at all. If I had known that I was going to have so many issues with this card + vista, I would have gone a different route. Still can't get things working on this end. Having a similar experience with Political Machine 08. Things that are supposed to appear either don't show up, or show as a flashing black light (whereas in this game, it's a giant flashing white light).
I'm experiencing an issue where I cannot see the canidates' "bobblehead," and on the map screen, when the airplane flies around, I can't see that either. I just played the 2004 version's demo, and that looked fine. Anyone have any ideas on this?
Not sure how to post a screenshot. I took a few (although they all show the same thing, really), but I can't find a way to just attach to my post. I checked the Catalyst Control Center, but couldn't find anything about Geometric Instancing, but it's possible that I don't know where to look. Thanks for all of your help so far. Hopefully this isn't happening to many others out there, and if it is, this thread will help them solve the problem in the future.
Well, just updated the drivers, and now there's a new problem. The whole screen is covered in a giant blueish white flicker. I can see the battleground in the background, but the flicker covers most of the screen, and moves so fast that I can't see past. Any thoughts?
Also, drivers should be up to date.

I finally got a chance to test the beta. When I got in-game, (I chose Regulus), I could not actually SEE the character. I could see the blue circle where he should have been, but when I moved him, I couldn't see him. Umm... now that I've said that, what do I need to do to fix this? :) I'm sure I need to give you my specs or something, but I am not tech savvy at all. Rather, I'm very excited about Demigod.
