[quote who="N3rull" reply="6" id="1946447"]It should matter. Every idiot should be able to see a big red ball hanging around in front of you. Frigate 1 - Hey, what's that? Frigate 2 - What? F1 - That big red ball over there. F2 - What ball? F1 - That freakin' red ball right in front of you, bigger than both of our friggin' ships! F2 - What? You haxxor! You see a mine! We have no scout firgate around, you aren't supposed to see it! F1 -

I'm sure it's been discussed before, You should have the option when attacking a planet to either bombard a planet and make it turn dark grey and be useless for the entire game.( Or puufffff and gone , even better!) This would be when you have plenty of income and the planet is of no srtategic use...just deny it to your enemy. OR assault a planet with drop ships and then colonize it with basiclly the same mechanic as the current game. Minus the bombarding of course.......

[quote who="Blair Fraser" reply="14" id="1943355"] Quoting wbino, reply 12Blair, Did you ever look into the A.I. not making superweapons? Yes, but its part of the new AI code in Entrenchment. It was too fundamental a change to integrate into the main Sins branch (which 1.1 is spawned from). I would have included it for free in the 1.1 patch but porting it to that branch would have been near impossible considering the overhaul Entrenchment is receiving. Much of

Speaking of the TEC flak frig, shouldnt it have guns on the bottom? I sure the designer took inspiration from a PT boat, but space ships should'nt have a bottom. There are fighter's above and BELOW it.

I play single player hard only as TEC, I've never seen the ai build a superweapon. So will the ai build starbases in the new expansion? I guess the developer only knows, but does anyone have an idea and what's your experiences with the AI and superweapons?

[quote]Anyway, it would be better if mines were small and in "clouds", not few big balls. Instead of making one ovesized mine, I would suggest putting in a little cluster of five (or so) much smaller mines. Those small clusters would blow together with exactly the same effect, would be considered one object but would give it a more realistic feel to minefields, which would look like huge deadly clouds. Something like fighters - they are not one frigate-sized fighter per carrier

Even though piracy is really bad for pc gaming, it's lack of pc exculsives that will kill it. The average person if they have a choice will get a consule version of a game so they dont have to deal with sys requirements and such. More games like Sins and the pc would be much better off. BTW, DRM doesnt bother me as long as it doesnt tax my system, or add bs.....
