I was playing a game the other nite, and after I destroyed a Vasari gate the ships that were still in transit continue to phase into the well. Should'nt any ship in transit be destroyed or forced back too the well from which they came? This kind of defeats the urgency of destroying the gate first.

You know what I don't understand, why these pics made it to Gamespot first, and not on this site?
BTW Anyone hear of any changes to pirates?

Because the fear of getting killed was ruined, you knew you were coming back. And to top it all off, the enemys had the same hp as when you died! So all you had to do was shoot, die, shoot, die, shoot ..then kill the enemy. Don't get me wrong great game, but if you have no fear of dieing what's the point? It's like quicksaving every two feet, only worst with the enemy hp staying the same.
Vita chamber's almost ruined Bioshock. Thank goodness you were able to turn them off.
thank you
Could someone tell me the difference between galaxyforge and the in game map designer?
lol, it's not a replacement for a fleet, it is an augmentation. Right now there is not enough strategic defense in the game. The game boils quickly down to amassing a single large fleet and going on a rampage. I kind of got bored of that during the first command and conquer with mass tank rush battles. Honestly I think fleet size caps should be reduced drastically, too many ships turns a strategy game into a game of attrition and zerg rushes.[/quot

For the half of the same price, you get half the assload of illuminators that you can use to frack up the enemy saving up the assload for starbase. Get the drift? For the starbases to be viable in Big boys multiplaye
play a map that has planets and asteroids with no resources. That way only a coupla planets will have what u need and it will add some strategic depth to the game. Mess with the map creator, it's almost fun
Not enough people seem to realise how the kind of map you can create makes for some intresting situations. For people who complain about fighter's being to strong, make a map wit ALOT of no fighter grav wells. Make a map of mostl
Maybe they should'nt have anything that can kill a Starbase alone. From what I understand a starbase will cost 5x that of a cap ship. So maybe double that, around ten caps (and assisting fleet) whould be needed to destroy a Starbase. If you need the Starbase killer the super slow/shootable torpedo is a good idea( w/ a min range, half a grav well?). One/Two max per side?
There must have been/is a huge balance issue's for a game to miss it's release date and then the beta delayed further. I kind of hope they don't release further screenshots. As a TEC player when I invade Advent/Vasri for the first time after Entrenchment I want to be in awe at the site of unseen starbases. But I'm a whore I'll look at any screenshots you throw at me, just keep SOME surprises.
So basically if it autocasts magnetize on a turret its a waste of time?
What does Magnetize do to pirate ships when it says abilities disabiled? Or neutral ships...why are they still able to fire their weapons? btw they have to fix fighters flying thru planets.
At SP guys above... I do understand your point of view since I play SP too - however, there are some who prefer online MP... And there is nothing wrong with that so you should just respect their point of view too... By the way, I started this thread with quote: "...This of course is completely irrelevant when it comes down to SP since we can save the game X amount of times and eventually bring it to the end..
Some people prefer not to play online regardless of game length. I can pause when I want, don't have to worry about cheaters...and have my own "campaign". I can't believe people are COMPLAINING about game length! I guess they would want a 20 minute no thought involved smash up. There are two buttons to help you if length of game is a problem- PAUSE---SAVE. It's that simple. And if online---yawn---is your thing, play a more agressive game, that has got to speed things up.
Sounds like you should be playing as TEC Even frigates and cruisers are very large ships, but if you look closely you'll see the many little windows and openings. This particular ship is Vasari. Their design standards evolved very differently from those of the TEC and Advent due to their uniquely transient history and cultural influences.
Love the game btw. Yes I do play tec only...Us against them kinda thi
That ship is the Predator's face EXACTLY. How's designing these things?.... If Vasari and Advent are humanoids , dont these things need windows and doors? Call me old fashioned but I like my ship's to look like .....ships.
I created my first map the other day and low and behold the neutral planets had hanger bays and turrets! cool.........Now my question is when I play hard on the maps that came with the game, why are there no defenses like these? Also should neutral colonys not have ships that say TEC on them? They should have their own ships.
I like trackballs for games that don't require a lot of twitch input. I have mild repetitive stress issues, so I find myself playing more RTS games, and not so many FPS games these days.[ So Lord do you use the trackball w/ Sins? any issue's?
I was wondering what my fellow gamers use to play Sins with. I use a G5 mouse and keyboard combo, but the long hours this game has me sucked in is killing my wrists. Anyone using a trackball w/ Sins or any other preferred preferals?
I think online play is highly overated and a great deal of the dev time is wasted dealing with online stuff(which is numerous). To the detrament of what is obviously a preferred single player experience. The game sold half a million copies, but yet online players say they have no opponents. That means most time (dev) should be use to flesh out the single player game.
just played a game with two phase inhibitors. Enemy slow down was at 1400%.
