It seems actually nobody looked into the problem, after all...

I consider the map editor to be really disappointing: limited or no customization, different planets than a "real" galaxy (no gas giants, for instance), no possibility to choose the planets maps or the tile specials, etc. So Zyxpsilon, you would get my heartly thanks if you'd apply your ingenuity to the problem ;)
I don't have any (other?) problems with SP3 so far. It has been officially released, albeit for OEM. The game RUNS, and my other games run flawlessly. I would be surprised if SP3 would be responsible for this glitch. Anyhow I will keep it in mind, and hope that the guys at Stardock do, too ;)

The Story so far: I got version 1.90 of TA with the aforementioned problem, Stardock Central updated to 1.91 but the problem persisted. I did a first reinstall - uninstalling through Central but without cleaning the files on the drive - to no avail. I was about to do a second reinstall, cleaning up the directory in My Games as suggested per Kryo, when I gave Dark Avatar and Dread Lords a try and noticed the same problem there, too. So I reinstalled everything from scra
After playing a bit, one more observations: new ship design behave well, so the problem is only on the saved designs. Should I try to reinstall?

Actually is not that I do not get the edit option for my last post. I do get the edit option only for the post just before my last, and not for the others. Wierd. Anyway, more screenies: http://img368.imageshack.us/img368/2048/skewed3hq9.jpg

For some reason I DO NOT get the edit option for the latest of my posts, which means that I cannot edit the mentioned one without adding a new one. I am getting rather annoyed with strange bugs related to Stardocks...
I do have the nvidia latest driver, too. I will try smartexception...
Ton of CTD here too, plus some outright freezes. CtD when other programs pop in, freezes when I try to exit to desktop from certain menus, like "options". I am not liking this one bit.
Hi all! First of all, congratulations for the release. I happen to have a big problem/bug with the ship graphics: it is as if many angles of connections between parts of the ships are off. For instance, all colony modules are tilted/rotated with respect to the ship axis. Some ships look even stranger, like mining ships without mining modules (the Krinn mining ship looks like, well, a segment). Apart from this (!?!) there is still the usual "crash to desktop" problem issuing
Hi all, I have big gripes with the map editor so far. Basically I would like to generate a galaxy like the ones the game does, and then modify the local neighbourhood of my homeworld. I can't do this because: 1) "randomize all" in the map editor does not accept parameters like star density, number of planets, etc. 2) "randomize all" does not generate unhinibitable planets - even those marked as "unhinibitable" show up habitable in play. Those of class "0" are indeed uninhibitable
You answered most of it, thanks! I still have some doubts about planet quality. If I conquer a planet already colonized by another race without green thumb, would I still get the extra tiles that I would have got if I colonized it directly? If not, exterminating the population and recolonizing it from scratch becomes an appealing strategy... Planet quality can be diminished by some invasion strategies. Can I get it back somehow afterwards? Are there technologies that rise planet
Another question: in custom races, how do I set the moral alignment of the race?
Early Galactic projects After installing beta 5, I started noticing early galactic projects: the Terran did one after a dozen turns, the Thalans did three (3!!) in a handful of them. Is this a planned feature? Lush systems I found a star system with a minor civ: 3 planets, one class 15 with the minor civ, the other two class 15 and 26 (!!) respectively. Not too far on the map there was another cl
Invisible colony ships here, too. It never happened before, just now that I use the latest beta.
