If it means anything, u've snagged and addicted a total non-strat gamer with this one. I've played predominately FPS stuff in the past, but have been looking to get into something new as of late. Sins looked interesting, and the sci-fi element was a plus. Anyway, 2 days later, ive spent 4 plus hours each night playing through 1 v 1 games vs an easy cpu on a small map, and i cant get enough. The exploration aspect is intriguing, as i always need to know what that next planet

thanks for the replies - from the bit of reading ive done on the boards here, it seems like establishing a solid economic base is pretty important thanks for the specific defense tip as well Napalm, ill have to check that out to Carbon: i guess i was out of wack with my early game priorities, but the Novalith sounded to damn cool. My PC gaming throughout the years has been very shooter oriented. I've played a bit of the Star/Warcrafts, but dont have much strategy gaming experience otherwise (never played a Civ, or any 4X game for that matter). That being said, I'm kind of intrigued by the look of Sins and was wondering how friendly the game is to strat newbies. Is it something a relatively inexperienced strategy gamer can pick up and get into? or
