Yeah that all makes sense to me... think I'll drop the Arceans over to the evil side in my next game. I also think the AI needs to BUY LESS in general from the human player. Or smarter about it- I came up with a scout exporting strategy that bankrupted the Drengin not once, not twice, but three times so far- each time they had to cease their wars immediately or face destruction. My spending accoutns for 55% of the entire galaxy economy though I have half his population and had half hi

POLITICAL SUGGESTION: I think the elections ought to take into consideration how you've run the empire for the past TWO years, not just the DAY OF the election... makes winning them a little to easy and just too much like reality! Seriously... if I jack up taxes only to lower them for one month to win the elections it doesn't seem right. Maybe remember the average taxes overall with greater statistical weight to the last few months, sure, you know like 1 WT on month one, 2 on the enxt

This has probably already been snoted, but the GRAPHS section about your own empire (not the main screen graph, the other ones) seem like a lot of them are wrong. Especially income/treasury ~SDC~

Please see my Vega Scoutworks thread, critique me if I'm wrong at higher AI levels (like normal and bright). Also, should Starbases be allowed to indefinitely stack for each player? I thought reducing it to 1 per sector along with 1 resource per sector tops would be a better balance so that starships are still powerful and fun. ~SDC~

reduce maximum starbaes in a sector to X for each empire. Then also reduce to X the number of random resources possibly occuring in a sector. I'm sort of disappointed in how powerful Starbases are turning out to be... +300 to productions and +40 to defenses in certain sectors is too much, and it takes away from the starship aspect of the game. ~SDC~

Yuck, man- that interface is glaring and bright... maybe I been neutral to long and I'll get used to it, but it's pretty garish (at 4am in the morning)! Anyone else find it a little too much and needing some toning down or better colors to it?

1.01a: 1) Read my other thread on Vega ScoutWorks, a strategy that may be too mean to resist unless it doesn't work with higher AI levels. 2) SUGGESTION: I NEED a de-orbit all button, or a cntrl-click to select more than one ship and then hit the Launch button... tedious as it is now. 3) BUG: In my domestic policy stats an ENEMY planet I've never owned is always listed as my BEST DEFENDED planet- Thindor usually... pisses me off! 4) AI change: Maybe they

AI is only at Subnormal, but maybe this exploit shuld be fixed if it carries through at higher AI levels: Ok, been playing a game where I made a STUPID lease deal early on to get Colony Ships... found myself HURTING for cash. I was the Pacifist party so a tech run/sell economy wouldn't work. I began pumping out scouts and dumping them on the Drengin for 10bc/5 turns each... they only cost 20 to build! Then through some unknown circumstance the market price went up to 15bc/5T each! 45

The ONE thing I think should be changed about ALL senate votes, is that it should somehow take into account not jsut the status of your economy/empire ON the turn of the vote, but between the entire election year period, so you can't just drop taxes on an election month to ensure election... :notsure:
