That's a shame. I really can't deal with the fact that there's an advantage the other players will have against me totally besides the skill difference. If the game goes on sale I'm sure the player base will boom and I'll try coming over then.
I'm curious as to whether anyone is aware of whether favor points transfer from the demo into retail or if they are reset. I imagine the favor points are bound to your account, not to your build, but I haven't seen this asked or answered yet. I'd like to build up my favor points to acquire a reasonable item before converting over to retail so that I'm not walking into a totally unfair situation right off of the bat (aside from the already unbalanced player skill levels).
