oh crap I forgot to say thank you!!! Thank you...lol Oh and one other inquiry, I noticed Vista won't allow me to use lower window buttons. I have the help and rollup buttons located on the right of the bottom frame but they won't appear. The skin I'm using has no per pixel frames so I know that's not it. I also loaded up Mike Bryant's Airlock skin (one of my alltime favorites!) and same issue. Neither skin shows buttons on the bottom frames [e digicons]:'([/e] Is this a kno

Nah...I just tried making a new fresh skin in SKS7 and they're still AWOL...lol. I think they don't come packaged. I'll consider using Diamond as a skin base. Hopefully Neil and the Stardock crew won't lynch me for it! lol.
Ok so I've been tinkering with both SKS6 and SKS7 making a substyle of one of my old XP skins. So far all is well, but I have noticed that some of the image files are not packaged with either version of SKS I have. For instance, if I want to edit the explorer navigation arrows they come up as "no image defined - section may be optional." I've looked everywhere and thus far, the only way I've been able to skin them is to open Stardock's Diamond Vista substyle and edit those. Also I've
click Edit start menu and taskbar to get that section. Click Edit Horizontal Taskbar to get the dialog up. Click "Glow" under start button, Select Extra Settings, and make sure "always display start button glow" is enabled. If it's not, then enable it. This will allow you to see it no matter what.
nice, well at least I figured it out...lol. #4 I didn't even think of checking out in the colors section though. Good find on that. Shadows tend to be rather tricky, especially if it's a windows placed shadow. Closest you can come to really editing it is to remove it completely usually. I haven't really seriously gotten into SKS 6 though either, mainly just adapted some of my personal skins, and a few author skins for Vista. Seems like there's a bit of a give and take between XP and Vista skinni
Ok, I can't seem to figure a few things out with blinds6 as of late. For some reason intermittently my borders for windows and apps flatout disappear completely. Mo image, no buttons, nothing. Closing and re-opening the app will generally fix the problem, but I was wondering if this is a known bug for Vista users. I've ticked "never use per pixel borders" in an attempt to correct it and oddly some of the other borders that would use per pixel, go away too. This doesn't seem to be a skin i
Oh man, you rule Bichur Thank you! you've saved me countless nights of sleep deprivation over this. I can't wait til SKS is purchasable I'm soooooo gonna buy it instaed of the free one. :D:D:D
yup, that's all that would fix it though, which is kind of a pain if it happens often, which in my case it did.Oddly though, I'm having even more issues with blinds6 vs. Vista. I won't bring them up here since this is for cracked blinds usage. I still love Stardock, and probably would crawl into a hole and die if I couldn't use it. Thankfully the world has been graced with pure genius and I now can use it on Vista...lol. The main concern for me was, I thought it was a corruption in the skin I de
Well, I guess I'll toss in my 2 cents....lol. First off, that patch all of you are fervently attempting to diagnose actually disables communications to Stardock on the rig, and creates ID files to match the version of blinds. It also creates a mock activation file so it can be used without the code. That's all the crack does. It doesn't modify blinds itself in any way. secondly, I've actually used a cracked version for the sole purpose of comparing the cracked to the legit purchased version.
hmmmm, I can't seem to find the resizing bar either. as far as the hover (#2) it's in Edit Vista Explorer parts> List View> Selection Image. #3 is found in the same section and is labeled Favorite Links Backgrounds. The problem though, is the dialog for Folders will not be skinned using that. That would most likely be located in the colours section under MDI or Explorer Window colours. The double line you're indicating in #4 looks like a seperator between menubars. Either you might have somethin
It's not really a bug, but more of a pet peave. What I'd like to see in a future build, is the ability to minimize the attributes popup windows independently of SKS. It tends to get a bit tedious having to close windows, then save, and apply. If you minimize rather than close the popups, the entire GUI collapses to minimize. Like I said, it's not necessarily a bug, but it would help developers out by leaps and bounds, and would streamline the entire process a bit more. The other thing would
It looks like you're running a Vista skin on XP. If that's the case, you'll have to put it through Skinstudio and do some mods to it so it'll fit XP. I dunno though, it's a very strange problem. It appears as though the image isn't being stretched according to the dimensions of the windows. Check to see if maybe the skin has an XP substyle along with a Vista one. If it does, choose the XP substyle and apply it. :D
First off, you have to specify here whether it's per pixel borders, standard, or both. 2nd off, there will be two settings for margins, one is standard sizing margins, and the other are content margins. Sizing margins keep the image from distorting due to tiling or stretching when windows resizes the windows. Anything contained within those margins is what gets stretched. Anything outside of them remains unaffected. Content Margins will keep the text from overlapping the images you use, and
I too am having the same exact issues only on Vista. The acception is the 3D issues. I did have that problem on XP as well, but since switching to Vista I haven't had that particular problem again. One of the other issues I'm having is sometimes my systray icons, and almost everything else is oversized. The standard 16x16 systray icons are appearing as 24x24 instead. Usually a reboot will fix that problem. My guess is in wbconfig the settings to not skin unskinable apps may be the culpr
