I just tries it today . It seems to work with all wa2 skins and some but not all wa3 skins. Has lots of new features and is pretty light on your system. The default skin/s that come with it are cool.

Glassteel here.
You can see my uploaded screenshot for all the details but I gotta say, after being a Wincustomize subscriber for about 14 months now, I just started using DesktopX and it rules!
Paxx, I think if you have a firewall you have to turn it off over at Design Technika to see images or download.
Oh, by the way....There are some logons from J.J.Ying...crystal & mac stuff which don't convert properly and you REALLY have to mess with them to get them to work right. The uifile is all tweaked up and I don't see how he even gets his screenshots. Maybe something in the export process.
Cazzie, The Grafitti logon has a logonui.exe in the zip, but is actually named logonuix.exe. To use this..open Logon Studio > click the Import button > click the arrow by filename and browse to the Grafitti folder > change the browse dialog from (logonui) to all files > then select the logonuix.exe and click open... After you put in a name click the convert button and it will import the logon... You can also rename the logonuix.exe to logonui.exe before you start and you won
Which logons are you talking about? If you give us examples we can probably help you better.
I'll definitely try it out. It may only be a few seconds but it's another cool thing we can do to make our computer like our cars. We customize everything on our cars, even the undercarriage which you rarely see. If we can do this without messing with the kernel then I'm all for it! You go for it Furan!
There's another fixed dll on the newsgroups. news.stardock.com stardock.objectdock newsgroup thread name...weather docklet n/a again? reply from Eric Guess has dll attached
How 'bout a docklet that would show all running non-Microsoft processes and display the number on the icon so you could tell if something mysteriously started. Then when you click on the icon it would show the process names and maybe even be able to kill them from there?
Is the KkMenu gone from here now or is it just my imagination? I have to agree with C242, it is a little steep. I tried it and the install routine is not real friendly. There is no un-install routine and it doesn't show up in add/remove programs. It has that very annoying registration request whenever you try to do anything and when I got it installed all my images were gone on all menus and KkMenu docklet images were also gone even though the ini files still had the right paths. When I went to
I use Outlook Express so that's the only way I can tell You. go to ..Tools > Accounts > News tab > Add > NewsGroup...and follow the prompts...the server is news.stardock.com
If you go to the stardock.objectdock newsgroup there is an item just posted today called weather docklet fix here...or something like that. It's a replacement WeatherDocklet.dll.... as an attachment.
Hey guys, I just had to do a system restore to get rid of the new KkMenu docklet that costs $20. It screwed my system up. Anyway, That repaired weather docklet is an attachment to one of the messafes on the NewsGroup. I'm gonna look for it now since I need it again. When I find it I'll give some info on where it is.

That would be a totally trippy DesktopX object!
That was a flame? The "name calling" In Shmoops post, I'm pretty positive, was not directed at you, Hash. Whether it was directed towards me or not, I was under the impression that name calling is flaming and hence unacceptable. I've been around here for about 15 months now and observed what goes on here. Mostly good and fun, but I don't apprecia
Shmoopy closes her eyes tight and wishes hard..."I DO so wish all the ideology of 'flaming' someone would FINALLY cease and let the cooler heads of moderators prevail. Imagine if you will...a forum where a shmuck happens to post and nobody responds to his 'troll rants' (which brings his ugly cause to the TOP of the forum heap every time someone DOES repsond) but rather a m
I see a Flamer has joined the discussion. Very uncalled for. Exit stage left. [Message Edited]
I think the majority (51% or more) of posters on this subject have agreed that while the reference to penis & strap-on (especially in the same sentence) may be fine in some situations that on a "Family Site" it is either inappropriate or disrespectful to the feelings of those who find it objectionable (especially on a site touted by the Admins/Moderators as "Family". I disagree Jafo. I do not agree that you can say this is a "Family Site" and have sexually explicit conversations. Yes. N
People, please stop using the "this is a family site" excuse to try to wipe out everything that you don't think is "appropriate". If you will read back you will most likely find it is more often the Admins, Moderators and Long-Timers who use the "this is a Family Site" phrase when cautionong members of their conduct. Since it's coming
No, Sorry Radial! I saw someone mention (don't remember who)that they didn't know what started this & I was just trying to answer without incriminating or directly quoting anyone. It is not my intention to flame anyone so I tried to quote without saying names. I don't think the names are important, or relevant to the subject.
Wondering what this debate is in regards to? stop pretending you have a penis, strap-ons don't count girlfriend...... nothing in (insert member name here)'s post was objectionable........ The 2nd comment was left by an Admin to someone who felt the 1st comment was objectionable. I also felt it to be completely inappropriate for a family site. I Think the moderators do a pretty good balancing act with the messageboard here but, in my opinion that comment was ov
Can it be installed over the old freeware KkMenu?
What's say we keep the dart throwing out of this 'discussion'? Merely backing up my words that this is reported to be a family site. No "dart throwing" intended (whatever that means)
