you want options, you bought Rebellion instead of something else, which is right about the time your options died. you won't see anything like that, nor will you see min/max tech, starting research already done, campaign, polite non-smurfing mp community, or multicore support. You get what you get and ... well throw a fit, but you'll be called a troll just because you might be unhappy with purchase. Some people are just *&$^# fanbois.

I think Thoumsin is the guy with the wicked linux system who breaks that 2gb memory limit.

Yes Quoting SemazRalan, reply 284Also, how does this affect memory usage in vanilla? There seems to be a lot of high-res textures in there that I know would kill 7DS. We've optimized textures and still use 1.5 to 1.7 gb of ram. No bloody idea. Rebellion is awful when it comes to memory usag
It's still in development and in some ways might be better than SOASE'R. [e digicons][/e]
Also add some new fucking forum sections because you added a new game and areas that have been and still are 'trinity' are getting bogged to hell with rebellion stuff. You are such a drama king... queen... Drama Thing. Good thing Rebellion had so many mods to gather nifty ideas from. Game sure has some nice graphics... which is like saying, "She's got nice tits, but is a total bitch to get along with." Nice tits don't make for a great lifeti
There is trolling or confusion in this post.
I know trolling, stop it. yeah, interesting Suppression Aura... looks familiar.
Stardock, you've got the source code. How hard to split empire tree into "Player" on left and enemies on right? Stacking sucks for reasons all it's own, but game is impossible to micromanage abilities.

Ai researches for crap, so don't worry about that. Also, they cheat credits/metal/crystal
no kidding, I tried to shoot my Trinity CD with my 45 and got 'bit' near the thumb.
Ion Blast on your Colony Capital to disable capital ability support and some Ceilo with Designate Target (give 40% damage boost on target). You'll want some corvettes in there to use abilitycrippledefense which can give up to 50% physical damage boost (autocannons and missiles, not lasers) on target (5% per ship and stacks up to 10x for 50%). You also have your Bonus Damage Research done? Kill the Advent Subjugators -they have that suppression aura that's debuffi
There are usually 400-500 players in MP now since Rebellion released. I wouldn't say that "nobody bothers". Those numbers are pretty good for this game - I think using Steam helped those numbers as by its nature it is oriented towards assisting MP and most people I know on Steam play the MP aspect of games if there is one. I think the devs aimed too low for this game's MP personally. I'm hoping a good % of those new players stick around
Beta 6.5 (release candidate 1) notice sent to Danman, Scratch151, Makon, SpardaSon21, Wintercross and ZombieRus5. Empire gets their passive Impenetrable Shields back, not all keep Force Onslaught. Interdictor should have ranged phase disable, no toggle, initial antimatter use, cooldown based and antimatter draining "Interdiction". Ai loves building the bastards and players love them too. Antimatter burns through quick, so you'll have to sta
Well, something scared the mars bars out of the toughest warriors in the Dark Fleet so the idea that the batteries in the sensors died doesn't hold water. They either pissed off something extradimensional, created something horrific (nanotech, biological or hybrid that enslaved them -take a guess), or the didn't listen to Q (TNG: All Good Things Theory) and blew a frakking hole in the universe and disrupted the first molecules attempting to form amino acids way back in the past
Isn't decompiling the core code a EULA violation? Saying modders just love going through data files to reverse engineer? Wrong phrasing. Modders love going through to make SOASE better. If we could reverse engineer the core files where the Easter Egg is, we'd get spanked for it. Nothing is chasing the Vasari, there is no Sins II, probably at best a Rebellion II, it's a scam!
nice looking ships!
Please use our forums.
Why is that when I play rebellion it feels like there is a black hole opening up in my heart just sucking what enjoyment I had left for SOASE? Ironclad, I'll give it to you for being an Indie studio and SOASE being your first baby, but Stardock... really? How much did IC actually do on this? Did IC just rubber stamp stuff for you? "yeah, yeah, fine, fine, titans.. yeah... okay, do it. race cars? wtf? sure... leave us alone, we're doing a moba.
comparing 2 different games is the worst way to tell if one is better than the other.
Okay, first rule of improving performance, both for your PC and your game: Clean up your empire tree! Stop autopinning everything, and please set it to stack!
all stacking does is make the game have to do autocasting and it's a retard about that. Tell one stack of 10 long range to attack another stack of 10 ships and the game tells your LRM's to fire at the closest ones in that targeted stack instead of what a player
7DS, we've got moons orbiting the planets.
I considered something more vulgar than 'back off' but the twin birdies being flown above and below convey the message.
You could make the loyalist TEC have some variants with advent plasma and vasari phase missiles, then add in a couple of "reverse engineering" research items that unlock those ships (heavy with plasma and long range with phase missiles come to mind) and also provide some damage/range bonuses at the same time. Make copies of the vessels, change around their weapons, make new research unlockers/bonusers, add the new entities to the entity.manifest, then add the new ships in place
The coding does not exist for there to be a campaign. The only thing that does exist is that you play maps over and over again with no carry-over from one to another. Been asking for ages for a way to 'gift' research tiers, limit research tiers, start with X credits, metal, crystal, and stuff that reeked of OPTIONS and DEATHMATCH or even Campaignish. Apparently that stuff and actual campaigns (Sp and Mp), which worked wonders for other games, even 4x games, is for
