This actually seems like a simple UI fix to me. A hotkey to bring up Dreadnoughts to upgrade, with a button to target them and another to center the screen on them. It pulls focus a little bit from the macro conceptually, but not in a terrible way, since it sounds like your major concern is actually being able to select the units to be upgraded. Hitting a couple of quick keybinds and then jumping back to what you were doing doesn't sound like too much hand holding, while
I just bought it for $39.95. I had received the email about the founders thing but didn't get around to it at the time but I have been watching for this game a bit so I decided to buy the pre-beta. So sounds like you were seeing that offer which as far as I know is open to anyone.
It's relatively moot, but I had bought and activated my founder's package some time before (then later upgrading to t
Thanks, did not know that. But still, how will be the hovercrafts inability to go over water explained? Is there even such a thing as non-amphibious hovercraft? I realize you can and should bend the "lore" or any rules to suit the gameplay in the first place, but... Everything is relevant and important. Both aesthetics and all aspects of functionality.
1) Certainly. Perhap
The_Gear- That is what it looks like now, but only after I activated my lifetime membership. I purchased the standard Founders package (which I would note, is actually $5 more than the current EA price-kind of funny to read how I was saving $5, but no worries), and then purchased on the 21st the upgrade to the the lifetime founders edition (squeaking in under the wire). Without inputting the second code emailed to me, it showed it as an option to purchase Ashes for myself at
At the moment, the 'Steam early Access' is purchasable on steam for those of us with Founders packs. This probably should not be possible, in case someone accidentally clicks and spends money for nothing (effectively).
Is there another RTS with procedurally generated terrain? I'm not sure what RTS you are looking for Ashes to be more like. The engine supports any level of detail (again: procedurally generate terrain). Which game do you want it to look more like?
I've actually given this issue a bit of thought with all the various posts on the subject- the sharpness of the models for units certainly makes them '
Perhaps a mild delay on vp starting to accumulate might help as well? As in, you have to hold an area for 4 minutes (adjustable?) before they trickle in , so highly contested areas must be 'secured'
From http://www.anandtech.com/show/9694/microsoft-reveals-the-surface-book (and some other websites) re: Surface Book 1) The tablet portion is 1.6 lbs (726 grams), so lighter than the surface pro, but still a bit heavier than he's looking for. 2) Screen size is good 3) I have a friend who said it's fanless who got to play with one, but I can't find documentati
Just a note, the developlets mentioned that the combat in that video was auto/quick resolve. Sill not getting my hopes up.
I don't mind ( too much) forcing chokes, depending how they do it, but everything else just seems unfun. research, ship design, combat- all seriously dumbed down and uninteresting. Tons of full motion video, when that is the last thing I want to even notice in moo. This really does not look like a game I would play, star base Orion (ios) seems like it already did this, and better ( decent remake, but just nothing meaty enough in the game to keep me hooked). Maybe the next gameplay trailer
1, 5, 6, 9 and 13. I like these as they show discreet stages of the game. A last one would be 8 to show a battlegroup en route
The Surface Book might be something to look into, Frogboy. It's a decent (read: fast) laptop with a dedicated GPU, quite a lot of battery life, and similar, where the screen detaches to a 1.6 lb tablet with your requested feature set, more or less. The deficated GPU is in the base, so you can use it as a gaming laptop with the base attached, or when it's a tablet it will run off the CPU. It's fairly impressive, and comes out on the 26th- something to keep an eye
While I have no useful contribution to the AI development side of thing to add at the moment, I -will- say that I'm happy and amazed at the level of dev involvement, as well. I know you are all very busy and pushing out changes at an almost terifying rate, but you take the time to talk to us, listen to our ideas and comments, and that says something.
Fair enough, I thought there was but I never really looked into it- once I moved it all to my SSD I never noticed any lag, so I just shruged and said whatever.
i7 4770, 16 GB, Asus MB, 970 Nvidea, Win 7 (f windows 8, and I'm holding on win10 for just now). Would a DXDiag be helpful? I'm actually about to replace my MB/cpu/RAM (most likely) as my former video card caused some serious heat damage. Can't say enough good things about the 970, but sadly the one before this had a broken fan and melted my former heat sink.
I believe it is streaming some texture data from the harddrive- I've noticed a bit of an increase in speed since I moved my steam install of ashes to my SSD. As always, take with a grain or a shaker of salt, and this game still is in very early beta/late alpha, so expect optimizations to be happening regularly. Also, as a side note, -please- get an SSD. Those system specs are great, but you're really hurting yourself without moving your windows insta
