Seabass, I just now sent you an email with the error message I was getting, but the message did not display a numerical error code of any kind. I included the game's registration code along with some other number that is printed on the sticker on the back of the CD case. I also included the email address that I used to register with Stardock Central.

While installing the Gold Edition, I was given the "option" to enter the registration code that is located on the back of the CD case. If you have a programmable controller (I have a Logitech Rumblepad 2), you can program it yourself to work with the game, but I can tell you right now that it's going to feel awfully clumsy relative to a mouse. Followup: I happened to be browsing through my programs last night when I happened to see a Stardock Games folder. Well, curiosity got the best of me, of course, and I just felt compelled to peek inside. There it was, the Sins demo along with a GalCivII demo, which I had downloaded last week.
