Great guide.. this is exactly the build I use a lot. Took me awhile with QoT to find some that work too trust me. I agree with uproot late game because early game a spike and auto attack take down the towers quicker. One suggestion: Slayer's Wraps. Believe it or not but I actually score kills with my QoT. After I slow them with spike wave, then armor debuff them with spikes I proc my wand of speed coupled with my other speed items and chase them down with auto att
Ive had this issue with this game, and many others. The problem is if you do not have vertical sync enable in some games your GPU goes crazy with FPS. With VS off on a title screen you can get upwards in 1000s of FPS for no reason. This will overheat a GPU especially as long as we sit in the lobbies and such. so.. in conclusion enable vertical sync in your game menu and make sure you don't have it forced off in your nvidia or catalyst control panel.
...not to mention opening up, popping spikes, and then you realize I need to hurry and close b/c my ally is getting pounded on and needs to be rebubbled. I agree though, 2 form is the key... you just gotta be SURE you wanna open up @ that moment.
Sounds good.. but I agree with many above. FORGET THE AI. Please REMOVE IT from Multiplayer. IF one wants to practice there are single player tournaments etc. AI has no place in ranked environment... Nobody takes Pantheon serious. Removing AI from pantheon and adding team joins to it would greatly enhance the experience of D e m i g o d. Please seriously consider this.
Oak is Balanced. I truly hope Stardock does not listen to all these threads. It WILL COMPLETELY ruin the damn game. Seriously please try another strategy. Only thing that needs to be looked at for Oak is Last Stand. A *slight* decrease in duration and dmg. I do mean *slight* All my posts are obviously my opinion.. so don't waste your time flaming me.
Any generals on your team? A well thought out minion build pretty much owns Rook's towers. You really can't go into a game with a predetermined build, it greatly depends on enemy DGs and their builds IMO.
The game does not have an "I win button" that is for sure. Little things could use some tweaks however. Reference the comment on minions.. they are NOT weak. One of my highest DPS builds involves minions. However, I do feel that some skills need to be sacrificed to have an effective minion build. If you are going minion, go ALL Minion. Just my opinion from my experiences with the game thus far. [e digicons]\o/[/e]
The random thing is a great idea. I personally would like to see the random mode have random DG, random map, *and random Mode. That would be awesome! Or* a way to configure exactly what is random when you host.
A teammate and I actually had a cool situation with Erebus's potion. I had a death potion of mine in Cataract, that was made known to my friend. He was getting smited by 2 DG's, he waited until his health was very low then purposely drank the potion to give me gold instead of allowing the enemy DG's full credit. Post is a little off topic but it was pretty cool nonetheless [e digicons]^_^[/e]
I came in here expecting another Erebus post.... and this guy says TB. Please play the game a bit more, try different strategies. There are tons of builds/equips for each DG. If anything I'm very impressed by how balanced this game is at launch.
I agree. NO AI unless we actually CHOOSE to have them. This game can not be competitive MP wise without a functioning and competitive atmosphere.... Right now... not so competitive... well maybe 1 out of 10 games.... OF course I'm referencing pantheon and skirmish... custom games are a different story but it should not be that way. IMO
Carstein has it about right here. I do very well with Erebus as a General build... however I either go all general or all Assn with him. You really shouldn't go into a game predetermined on what build you want. This game may have RPG elements but it is not something that should be set in stone before you start. When the game starts you should ask yourself some general questions as well as your teammates. For me some of these are: Does the opponent
Innociv I agree with you. For that map that we played on anyway. IT was a good game yes .. especially at the start (your 2 sednas vs us 2 erebus) Perhaps if each Fortress that you destroyed gave "X" amount to warscore? etc. *shrugs* I dunno. Or* In fortress matches the option to trade gold for warscore perhaps? Experience maybe? Could bring more depth into the mode. Anyway... skill wise, A great game.
