if they develope this type of system there should be bonuses to environment protection/industry developement it's much harder to move an army through a swamp then if the swamp has been cleared and drained for development

How about it generatater a coat of arms as you play? It starts out as a plain sheild with your civilization color then details are added depending on how you play. If you declare war often it would have sword and other weapons, if you pruduce a lot of resources (stone let's say) there would by symbols specific to a quarry. or just have the coat of arms highlight the strengths of the civilization you choose (12 diffrent coats?)

Well i did endup winning, i used a planet far away to make a couple of medium sized ship fleets and was able to destroy their roaming fleets. Then i was able to get a peace treaty very cheapy (under 200bc). I allied with the kryn and sold them all kinds of space craft and paid them to go to war with everyone. By the end of the game they owned about 85% of the map but i won my a diplomatic victory

I just started a game on normal on a large map on TA (decided to move up from begginer). I am playing as a custom race built for trading. The dregins have been attacking me a whole lot. At first i weathered the attacks untill i could buy a peace treaty. I did that a couple of times (reasearching defences to the weapons they use in between), but seeing as how they declare war too damn often to make it worth it i decided to put togother a counter attack and i am slowly getting the parts to make

they would have to be pretty epic battles and is positions that a fight can not be avoided, such as a gate or river tile. If it's implemented i think there should also be a boost for cities (higher moral for defenders or something)

Stratagey games are about being able to adapt to situatitions that you have not forseen to me that is the entire point. I want to be able to pull some crazy stuff of in a scirmish or even rage at being defeated dispite my upper hand. In multiplayer i would like to be able to co-ordinate my attacks effectivly. I also want this to be similer to a fantasy total war. (though i

fallout is a TEC seige frigate ability. it uses it when attacking planets (or colonised astroids), but it can not be applied everywhere (like magnetic storms, plasma ECT)
vy Fallout causes much more damage than without, then if you use it, you deal with the consequences. Yes, fair enough if the question is "can I turn on and off Heavy Fallout on demand", then OK. However, I don't see any improvements to weapons being an "ability" you can turn on and
Seige frigates must be pretty large (considering the size of the vollies they toss) so it would be plausible to have various warheads pre-fitted (diffrent bomb types - same shi
I never did say it was a new faction...but I didn't say it wasn't either.
Are the Vasari having a civil war? or a slave-world uprising? and more importantly will the "new" faction ever be added in with one of the expansions?

I would love to see a retell of events (as an epilog to the game). Brad mentioned that he would like to recreate the scope of some D&D campaigns and that the developer should accomodate a player who wants a year(or more) long game. A story generator will be a great way to end it. though would be increasingly difficult for larger and larger games.

What i want to know is how will the buildings in a tile effect eachother. Will massing acadamies on one tile be a good idea? Or will trying to but a full supply chain(refinery, armory, and acadamy or whatever the buildings are) on one be better? I like the idea of specializing Cities (such as the city/castle in Medieval Total War 2) but city-tile management is diffrent.

how is the combat going to work? similer to the CIV games, Heroes of Might and Magic, GalCiv (screen that details the battle - though you get no controll), or even a Total war take (turn based empire real time combat)?

I was playing a game, colonizing planets and generally going about my business when i saw this a planet with porous core and molten core. can this be fixed? and as a second note, do maps made in the galaxy forge not work with the beta version?

1) the maps are meant to take a while, don't worry. The bigger the map is the longer it takes 2)not too sure how to answer that, there is a rating on your overall strength in military, economy ect. on the interface. i try to use a small fleet for defense, located in a position where they can reach the frontier planets quickly (even though the planets are likely to take heavy damage during travel time) 3) I would reccomend doing this Build a capital ship factory Buy 100
