I'm having a similar issue - but instead of a straight forward crash my computer goes into an infinite "Loading" loop. Menu screen comes up but is dimmed. In upper left corner a little clock circle with "loading" below it spins and changes color, but nothing else happens... Here's the error file - its also saying it can't find registry: Debug Message: Version v 0.94 Beta 8b last updated on: Fri Jan 13 20:46:36 2006 Debug Message: Could not find a TGN Seri

Yes, turn off zonelabs, virus scan, everything - then it will finally instal without locking up.
Evil, hmmm... I'm one quarter away from finishing my MBA degree and this is about the most evil thing I can think of: Management Consultant Technology This tech allows you send management consultants into your enemy's empire - where they then funnel large amounts of cash back to you while reducing the target empire's economy. There would eventually be a diplomatic backlash when the target finally realized they spent 10 million for a power point presentation and a couple of
I need to kill some time till the 25th *************************** Damm you MOO3! Damm you to hell! Or at least, damm you until you patch the AI!
I'll add to the whole "Ship Range" debate by saying that I really hate having so many debris, asteroids, gas nebula and other "Goodie Huts". Sure the AI doesn't use them and it lets me build a really kick-ass survey ship, but it also detracts from the strategy aspects of the game the same way that ship ranges do. Thus - why not let the player choose if he wants these things during game set up? Maybe an advanced settings button or something. Unlimited ship range? (Y/N) Goodie Huts? (
Have had one real frustrating experience thus far - on the Drengin game loader it was not imeadiately obvious that I had to switch the options to "Show Betas". After much swearing at the computer I finally came across it by chance. The instructions to do this may have been in the documentation somewhere - but lets face facts - I never read those things and I think much of the world is the same way. Other than that - damn clever idea letting people pay to be appart of the beta.
Ship ranges are definitely a plus - It adds to the strategic element of the game. I can remember many happy MOO1 games waiting to develop the next generation fuel cells so I could attack a nearby rich world. Au revior Mike
