So, I finally had the time to realize the demo came out for Demigod, and I was very impressed. It runs great on my 1.76 Ghz dual core laptop, and it's tons of fun. I would already own it, but I have a coupon for Best Buy. The demo is limited, but it allows someone to really get a feel for the game. The full version promises 5vs5 combat, but 3vs3 is enough to show you how much fun a multiplayer game like this can be. The team-oriented combat really makes you feel involv

I am trying to figure out how tension works. It is not intuitive to me. I know tension means the stretch on a string that opposes some force. But what happens when forces pull on either side? -20N 20N Is the total tension 20N, 40N, or 80N, and why? I would think it is 0N of tension so that there's no net force on the string, but that's just ridiculus.

This is just a distraction from the point. Teach your children everything, and then let them decide. There is no need to push a child in one direction or the other, and in fact, this could even be considered unethical. Not only does it teach a child not to think independently, it potentially harms a child whose views could later detour from those held central to the indoctrinated beliefs.

@ Paladin77, you might be right about evolutionary biologists being wrong about the timeline. They get stuff wrong all the time. Scientists aren't different from other people. Usually they came from wealthy families or a culture conducive to producing a scientist (sometimes they are just weird), but I really doubt they are biologically better in any substancial way.
