Erp, are you sure? Because on beta launch day the major issue was that Entrenchment was installing in another folder and was missing some core game files The way I know to do a backup is to install Sins 1.12, copy the folder, and then install Entrenchment. Run Sins 1.12 out of the copied folder, and Entrenchment from the original install.
This is the way that I have done it and it works just fine. I re

Haven't had any problems with this since I re-installed both games. Have played it a few different times and it loads and plays fine now. Now others crashed either.
Again, if it was something more like the campaign mode offered in DoW: Soulstorm...there is some very good potential there. I'm happy either way...think a campaign mode would be fun for the times when I don't feel like playing with a group or on-line, and the times that I do...well, wouldn't need the campaign mode then. Doesn't matter...whatever SD decides to do...I'm sure that I'll be happy with it.
What?? Sins wasn't released early. It went out on time with exactly the features we (Stardock and GPG) had planned on. Would we have liked to have more diplomacy features? Sure. But we didn't have any firm idea of what they might have been. There weren't some set of features that we cut to make some arbitrary date. I have no idea what you're talking about.
I think that this post and the post by Craig righ

Sweet, thank you very much. I will see if it's there tonight when I get home. I knew you would know the answer.
my question is, my auto-record is on and i play through the game...at the end of the game do I need to create a save game and that would have the entire recording of the game just played? Or do I create the save game at the beginning of the game and then it records the entire game on that save file? Or is it something else that I am just not seeing or getting? Very confused on this process...[e digicons]>:([/e]
it is...but played an on-line mp game last night and can't find it to watch it.
Sorry, after re-reading I see where it's misleading. I want to record a game that I am playing...how do you accomplish this?
I'm sure this has been covered before, but since the search feature stinks on here I'm not gonna spend an hour manually trying to find a thread. So, if someone can answer my Q or link a thread that does answer...I would be highly appreciative. Need a step-by-step walkthrough on how to start a game recording. I cannot seem to nail down a tried and true method to getting this to work properly, for some reason. Thanks
I think this is how it should be, minus the range. As in, they shouldn't be able to fly around it as easily as now, but theys houldn't be able to take on more than medium size fleets by themselves. If Starbases become fleet killers, how will we ever take over a planet? All someone needs to do is put a starbase on everyplanet and nothing can kill it!
I was under the impression that starbase prices at the moment were more placeholders while they see how much people think they should cost than final values. Can't remember where I saw it though.
you are correct in that...that's why we are having all of these discussions about what the final pricing structure should look like. My whole point in all of this, is that the initial impression given to us a

well, the other 2 have not played online before this...only lan games amongst us friends and only FFA. They wanted to try a team match against a hard AI. Well, we did that last night and it was so easy...it was boring. Even they were like ok...not doing that again.
i agree with the point about advent and tec being more than glorified turrets - if the vasari ones can move, tec and advent one's should be able to too.
not hey shouldn't...the Vasari are, after all, the masters of phase space...not the Advent and TEC. The way the movement is set up is fine. They just need to counter the ability of an attacking fleet being able to phase out before being severly damaged.
anybody got anything on this for me???
They don't necessarily have to be mutually exclusive. If the cost to build a starbase is low but the upgrade costs high and substantially increasing with every rank, then it allows both styles of play to be seen in the same game: one player places midgrade bases (10k or so invested in each) at several key points whereas another will spend the extra money (80k+) to upgrade a base to an 'ultimate' edition in a particular spot. Yes, I have the utmost confidence that the final version of this will be sweeter than ever and alot of these little *gripes* will be gone with the wind.[e digicons][/e]
too true...this could be exactly what happened. Still I was hoping for things to remain as I read originally...one can always hope, right?!?
