It can be insane... only if you are so much lucky. In my recent playthrough. I literally had NO beast around my town until 50th turn or so, forcing me to build troops in the city to clear area for settling. Maybe I was just unlucky at that time. Currently playing challenging with similar/better setting (this time I got Stealth instead of Betrayers) and this time I got quite lucky with 3-essence enabled starting position with Cave bear to be tamed.

There are far better 1-point traits available. I don't see why it needs nerf now. Things like Lucky which can be used to stack defense/dodge is far more game-breaking yet it is still just only 1-point trait. I say now with separated with Stealth, Master Scout is fine IMO. And really, it's Stealth allowing player/AI to do fast expansion, not master scout. You can super-fast expand with Stealth and without Master Scout even in higher difficu

Just finished and won Expert/Expert on 12x8 map with epic setting, with all 8 stock AIs, playing my custom kingdom (Master Scout, Betrayers, Lightplate) with Beastlord. A while ago I also won Insane/Insane as Verga Yithril with similar setting, except the map was normal 'Large' and pace was 'normal' instead of 'epic' Everything except resource frequency is 'dense' and/or 'plenty'. And here is my impression on AI. </p

It is not just Dark Sorcerer (which is now marked as 'Epic' properly.) For example, in one of my very late game, my sov, who is Life-Water-Air Archmage with some additional spells gained from quests, is still 'weak'. By looks of it, he is. He has some Hp, but very low attack damage with just dagger and ok-ish armor. So the game labeled him as 'weak'. The problem is he is not &#39

IF WoM is 60, FE would be either 75~85, but not quite 90. And Xia, it is not because dev listened to city spam problem. It is their solutions which are utterly broken that made matter far worse.

With recent patch, the early game slows down a bit and some of the improvements got nerfed as well. .... The result is even more hardcore pioneer spam. I am playing mostly on hard~expert difficulty, and the importance of getting many cities as possible is far more important. The reasons are follows. 1.) Slower and longer build speed means I need more multiple production cities = need moar cities
Quoting mqpiffle, reply 1Sounds like you should be playing WoM. With respect to the OP, this is exactly what I thought as well. Lots of mechanics have been replaced, for the better according to almost everyone. And now you want to turn back the clock ~4 months? That's not something the devs are going to listen to.
Nothing is really 'late'. Maybe I am crazy naive on the video gaming deve

Pioneer spam is the biggest problem of this game at current version. I really don't think forcing AI to build less pioneers is the solution to this problem; it will only makes game easier since spamming pioneer no tomorrow is literally only viable tactic for early to mid game. I thought about it, and thought about solutions like making pioneers expensive (like 150 gold per pioneers), unkeep or hard-coded limit on the number of pioneers and other

1. Which Faction did you play? How does their late game power compare to earlier in the game? What makes that faction feel unique at this point compared to other factions you have gotten to this point in the game? Custom faction based on alter with binded, uneducated, adpets, heroic, sov with summoner with magic traits. At late game, there really isn't much difference based on faction-related differences. It is based on more of sov/hero specialization (either go mag

http://uplay.ubi.com/en-US/ As first launch, the software lacks so many essential features, but what made me disrupting is that it seems it can access to my Ubisoft-related profile without asking permission... It did not ask any log-in information, yet somehow it found my account and automatically logged on. It's like Origin scaning Steam folders for EA games and add them for its own, but I think it is

DRM is not just a annoying tool for legit customers. Not just a useless method to go against pirates. Not just a features to calm down shareholders and execs. It is, both unintentionally and intentionally create 'monsters'. Like Apple with its stronghold on music industry. Like Amazon which just had 90% share on Ebook market and 75% on all online physical bo

Yes, maybe not fitting on this category, but I have to say what is right. Unless people stop playing random maps and start playing pre-made maps, there isn't a single person who are deserved to be called as 'pro' in this game. Indeed there are people who are (very) good at this game, but none of them are, by definition, are pros. Ask any 'pro' players outside of this game, or heck an

If they ever put such clues in the game code, the best place would be the codes for phase inhibitor, which its origin never explained fully (Vasari just merely copied them using nano technology, TEC took from Vasari for their use, Advent steals from TEC for their use as well.)

They indeed tried to fix the lrm problems by making the carriers strong, and then here comes flak, light frigates, etc... I think at this point, other than defenses too strong and certain capital ships too weak, the game itself is pretty balanced if we consider the complex elements of the game. It is no doubt that developers took so much time fixing balance issues (I almost believe something was going on IC.), but they were eventually fixed, at least roughly.

Hello AOK, I thought you disappeared into abyss (well, I was also disappeared into abyss until Rebellion beta came out.) I highly doubt that this game, which has so many complex, deep techs and amount of ships and stuffs, will be ever roughly balanced. But again, even games like SC2 also has glaring imbalance and it is really fate for all RTS. Players always beat game developers/balancers and it is not new idea. I say, buy t
