Warning Superpost Ahead :SURPRISED: The tech tree sections should be broken down into two sections. The first is the same for all races and the second is race specific. Just renaming the tech is transparent when the stats are exactly the same, so be blatant about it. This would let you focus on your development and balancing of the racial technologies since the general is automatically balanced. Another modification to research should be an icon change if you are going

_CuRoi_ I think the easiest way to repeatedly run as an administrator is to right click on the file and choose Properties. Then select the Compatibility tab and at the bottom is a check box to Run as Administrator, so that every time it is run, even with the shortcut, it will do it automatically. For all playing on Vista have you tried disabling "NMIndexingService" from your Task Manager's Services Tab? This caused me a lot of headaches with other programs (not just games) and was
Try setting the mod to load on startup, that may work better.
I already do, and it still has not had any problems except some stuttering during zooming in but that was with massive fleets moving around on Highest video settings. After turning it down to High it was fine again.
...especially on maps where the other races get tons of stuff.
I haven't found any of these yet, I guess I just have to keep looking. ;p
That is the r
Icedude, After restarting it worked fine for a quick game, so then I pumped it to the largest multi-star map and tried out the Atlantians. I never thought that this game would make me laugh, but after nearly getting wiped out in the first 10 minutes by an enemy cap ship, taking out said cap ship that easily was awesome. Horribly unfair, but awesome. So I modified the stats for it and it tested quite well. One thing I think is a little unfair for your race is that they do not star
Excellent! In the folder where user.setting was is a file called camera.setting where I was finally able to get the spin-till-you-puke toned back to something reasonable. It just amazes me how much they buried in the AppsData path considering that it is invisible in Vista. Thanks for the info Solar!
Wow even the quotes don't work on this site. :p You asked me to be more specific about a CTD (Crash to Desktop) and that means no minidump or log file created, just a straight, no errors given, failure of the .exe. It does it very smoothly at the start of a large battle with launched fighters and bombers. I had plenty of small encounters with no problems but when I tried to take over an enemy planet it would CTD as soon as completed my jump in. I shelved the mod for the last co
When you click on a link and it puts something like this: https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/175766?forumid=443&aid=301007 in your address bar but says that the page is 404 just edit out everything after the last / except the last number string so: https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/301007 This will take you to the page you want. They are apparently having problems with most of the site, so if you figure out a work-around post it for the rest. Cheers!
And then it all died... HornedBeast: Yes, it would be useful. It is one thing to manually edit one file in notepad, it is another to edit a dozen for the same single change and not make any mistakes. P.S. Coding is actually writing something like the GUI editor. Moding is altering the game files from the vanilla version.
Sorry that it took so long but this site is about as crappy as the Vanilla version of this game. It took two day to register, and when I tried to send them an email and tell them that the page was MIA (404) they bounced it back as spam! The file site where you originally posted had it in a personal folder for you and not a general released area. You managed to get it out on other sites, so I just thought that you might appreciate knowing why it wouldn't work. On a more person
