Ormgas is an awesome internet radio site that lets you choose a song that multiple people listen to. The song is then rated, and the process repeats. It gets five @'s. I'm gonna say that it's only flaw is its dependence on an audio player and a web-browser for full functionality (I use VLC, maybe other media players have more interactivity). However, it's an enjoyable experience. A definite try. What do you think?

Here's a list of ways to stop piracy, but not purchases. Go DRM-Free: DRM will be cracked, but pirates often steal solely due to DRM, or wouldn't purchase anyways. Make a Club: If people buy a magazine subscription when they buy the game, at no added charge, they will enjoy it more. Do not restrict play for those not in the club, though, but make special content available only to club members. (plug-ins, not multiplayer, should be the incentive)<br

I don't think Battlefield 2 or 2142 has securom. Piracy is bad. The best way is simply a boycott. Remember, if it's not worth playing, don't. I'm not gonna pirate. That was the heat getting to my temper. I had to walk in 110 degrees.

Yes, the problem is that you have to go through protection that won't work at all in order to play. I'm fine with impulse, but you install Starforce or Securom on my PC, and you waste my hard-drive space and slow it down more than it already is (though I do optimize it often enough). Granted, pirating it is a bit too far. I'll just boycott it, since piracy is illegal. Plus, I don't want that crap on my PC anyways.

Yes. EA probably buys a royalty-free license or a contract deal (they let them out it in the demo, they continue buying) to get the demo's DRM free. And they give the darn thing away. Also, I've heard reports it phones home, though I cannot verify, even before the system logs you in? either way, I'm no fan of Securom or StarForce. Both have screwed me over.

No, the demo has SecuROM attatched, and it actually still sends the stuff to EA. No difference. I'm only pirating it to show that it *CAN* be broken, not that I'll play it. It's an act of defiance. Also, I don't mind if Windows or security suites phone home, but I won't let a game's copy protection do it. Have you been to Hulu.com? I recommend The Last Legion (Blockbuster exclusive?), nice special effects and simple, easy plot. Plenty of action. Also, have you watched Iron Man? It's decent. Also, try Prince Caspian. I can't think of anything else right now. Maybe Stargate?

EA has finally invoked the boycott button. I'm fine if you use DRM in a purchased product. If it really bothers me, I'll get a crack or find a workaround. But, the Spore Creature Creator demo contains Securom, an overly-potent DRM solution that phones home without any grounds for suspicion. Darn, they should have to tell you if it has Securom. I torrent'd it. (day before second release), but since it has Securom... Bye bye. Securom's a frikkin' plague. It never worked for disk protection on my laptop, either, instead opting for the no-go option. So I could install, but not play my games. Big brainy success, Suckurom.
