If it is the same thing as I experienced this is just another flavor of the "wait hang" bug where the game will just sit in between turns with the turn button saying wait.

I posted this exact same scenario a while back and submitted a ticket and it looks like they have identified and fixed the issue with the latest patch haven't tested it out yet but I am optimistic that the issue has been resolved because it seems to be a pretty cut and dry bug.
In addition to this upgrading ships in a fleet right now is pretty cumbersome, to the point where you have to click on the details button of each individual ship and then click upgrade after you have to disband the fleet to even access the individual ships.

I definitely will but I have to admit I am becoming a little bit discourage that I am not able to see the end game. I don't think I have passed turn 300 in any of my 10 or so games I have started.
