Those who use OD+ for very little are likely to encounter significantly fewer issues, that's obvious. ObjectDock Plus is a main staple on my 2 machines. Running it on W7 Pro x64 with no issues (except for the known start menu/sys tray issues). Works wonderfully.
That is not a minor issue. I want full sys tray functionality in Win7 64-bit, so I'm looking forward to an update.
Very nice! Thanks!

How are OD+ users overriding sys tray not non working on Win 7. I don't care for Win7 dock but I can't hide it since sys tray is too important.
+1 Please, make OD fully compatible with Win7 I'll install Win7 today and all my docks are by OD, including sys tray.
I was told by support to create a backup of my docks, which was impossible because OD needs to run in order to create a backup. That was the problem to begin with. Since I haven't seend the solution here, I'll post how I fixed it, it's very simple actually. By the way, in my case the problem was due to a corrupt settings file. Close OD and make sure it's not running. Go to: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Stardock\ObjectDockPlus There are 4 files, one of them is
Last night I switched my computer off by pressing the power button and this morning Objectdock Plus is no longer working on my computer. I get the 'ObjectDock has stopped working'. I read that some Acer computers have that problem but I have an HP laptop. It's running Vista SP1 -32. I did run the chkdsk utility and run CCleaner to clean the registry. Still, OD won't run. I already submitted an email to support but is there anything else I should try?
Will ObjectDock be compatible with Windows 7? There's been a lot of talk about the new taskbar in Win 7, but I prefer my ObjectDock taskbar.
I have a tabbed dock that's supposed to be hidden until the mouse is hovered. My settings are: But when I start my computer the tabs are always on top (not the drawers, just the tabs). I have to go back to settings and switch between Don't show in tray, Show in taskbar or Show in sys tray, to hide the tabs. Is there another way to keep them hidden until I choose to display them?
Thanks. Actually Mike's advice did it.
Here: I want the new windows (their icons/screenshots) to show up on the left side of the taskbar.
I reinstalled OD+ and now the new icons are showing up on the right side of the taskbar (just like Windows' behavior). How can I make them appear on the left side of the taskbar? Thanks.
Thank you! "(As frustrated posters go, you're not sounding so bad. [e digicons]:)[/e] )" I was cursing when I was typing ;)
I only care for OD+, I don't want to download a mammoth of an application for just one program. Stardock Central installs OD+ but it keeps freezing and the stupid thing didn't even save my settings. Sorry if I sound too frustrated but I am too frustrated. The link that I received with the serial is not working and did I say I'm very frustrated.
Just right-click on the icon and select 'Dock Entry Properties...' > Change Image and select the image you want.
Great suggestion!
It probably isn't. But still it could be added to the wishlist. I'm talking about having a dynamic tab/drawer with all the recent items. Just like Start>Recent Items, but instead of getting a list of recent items, all of them would be in that OD tab/drawer. It'd be really cool!
Finally an explanation! Thanks for trying to find a solution.
Can OD's System Tray use Windows Sys Tray's configurations. I mean, can it hide the icons that should be hidden? Hide them when not in use, just like Window's Sys Tray.
At least in my case, that only happens with the taskbar, not any of the other docks.
I have the same problem with Windows' windows. My Computer, Control Panel, Setups, don't always open from my SD Taskbar.
MissOctavia, are we on the same page? /JJ
100% You described it pefectly. I was actually surprised that a simple calendar docklet didn't exist. I found a few applications online but they were all system tray apps, which is a bit limiting.
Thanks, it is indeed what I had in mind; unfortunately when I click on Date and Time, the configuration window is opened (the one with the tabs and Internet Time) instead of the pop-up calendar.
I downloaded a calendar and DesktopX, but that's no what I wanted. I was looking for a calendar that can pop-up from anywhere; with this widget, I have to go to the desktop to see the calendar. In the settings, I tried both Normal and Desktop level but it doesn't work like Microsoft calenar pop-up that pops-up with one click and hides with another.
Thanks, will do.
