Yeah, they do seem a little more timid. Not sure if it's a bug though...

The lead capital ship of a control group changes randomly. Several forum posts have complained about this (one of them mine).
For number 4, I think that's intentional according to the beta change notes... Although I preferred it how it was. Must be some reason for the change, though...
I've got a few possible bugs, I was wondering if anyone can confirm: 1: Occasionally, setting a command group with a fleet with multiple capital ships (via pressing ctrl + ) will cause the ship called to change. Example: I had a fleet with a Discordia, Progenitor, and Halcyon. I set them to command group 1 with the progenitor as lead and go do something else. When I come back to them by pressing "1", I'm greeted by the Discordia. I press ctrl + 1 agai
I like the "Scourge" suggestion. Implies a pest that you can't get rid of... Like corvette spam!
Yeah, I think tidying up the infocards in general would be useful. It'd help the game look more polished too. *Edit* Not that it looks bad now. It just sometimes gets a little confusing.
When you discover something using the "explore planet" button, if you find something it reads "We have discovered XYZ our planet ABC". It's missing "on". Nothing major.
Perhaps a couple "fangs" hanging below the turret mounts? Or would that look too cheesy?
A better argument I think is that its a highly situational ability. If you're playing the game right, you should never use this ability, while the other titans can use theirs periodically.
Is it just me or does this seem to be sort of a recurring theme with the Advent? I'm thinking about the Progenitor ult right now... Or perhaps it's supposed to be the Advent version of the Big Red Button?
How about Pirate Ravager? If it keeps the same line of damaging internal systems like it's TEC cousins, I'd think it'd be appropriate...
Eh. Might as well say hello as well. I'm ChaoticMagician (CM for short). I've been playing since 2008, and also signed up for the forums then, although I don't tend to talk a lot since I'm usually forum-shy (working on that) and it seems that anything I ever want to say is posted about 12 minutes before I'm ready to type (*cough* Sniperium/Darvin/RA(whereverhegotto)/etc). Still, they say it much more eloquently than I could ever hope to, so I just lurk [e digicons]
When I hover my cursor over the search tabs normally I get an infocard that tells the tab's function until I remove the cursor. However, the asteroid tab's infocard tends to vanish for me if I move my mouse a tiny bit. Is anyone else getting this issue? Not a very important bug, if it is one, but just something I noticed...
I agree that "Imperialist" would probably go better with the rebels. They're probably setting up their second empire in this system, only using the other races to prevent themselves from getting diced. For the loyalists, would "Harvesters" be a better title? Of course that's reminiscent of MOO3... "Nomads" could work in a pinch... Ah! How about the "Itinerants"? Means the same thing as Nomad, but looks more original. Edit: Itinerant Vs Imperialis
Yes, you can only play as TEC at the moment. However the TEC has been split into two factions (Loyalist and Rebels) offering two slightly different experiences. After a bit more testing, I'm expecting Ironclad to release the other races.
If they ping, it'll show up as a sort of yellow glow. If not, you just have to hope that an infocard was generated (those little pictures in the bottom left) that you can click on to take you to the location. Personally, I only ally with the AI for economic reasons and breathing room. They're a bit lackluster when they're your ally, they tend to rely on you too much (at least I feel that way). It also tends to overreact (I had an ally give me the equivalent message to "OMG
Can this bug be added to the list? It seems to be a legacy issue (shows up in Trinity apparently), but it is problematic at times. https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/419403
I'll second (or third or fourth or whatever) a graphics tweak. A few more doodads on the ship would make it a bit more eye-pleasing. At the moment it really does look like a surfboard...
Before we call for a complete scrap, is there any way we can think of to salvage their role as anti-titan support? I think we need to find some way to give these ships an ability that would make titans (and possibly SBs) nervous when they're in numbers with a fleet, but have opposing frigates pass them off as a nuisance. Perhaps a modification of what lbgloan said? Instead of making them a new frigate, perhaps turn them into a form of strikecraft? Nerf their damage output, slap on
Perhaps giving them an ability that gives them a 10% chance to dodge incoming attacks? Somewhat similar to the asteroid's debuff? I think that would play well with their strengths (You could call it "Reckless Combat Maneuvers or something like that), although it'd need to be tested.
Perhaps restricting the flak weapons of the titans to only targeting strike craft would help reduce the Ank's OPness? It feels like that's where a lot of the Ank's attack comes from, and it shouldn't hurt the Ragnarov too much since it seems to focus more on it's Big Gun of Awesomeness.
In their current state no. If patches bring buffs to them then they can actually be useful. At the moment all they are is just be cheap cannon fodder.
Which I find is a quick alternative to clearing mines when compared to the old "scout+flak" combo [e digicons][/e] But it would be nice to use them as something besides sheep. Perhaps increase the rate their debuff procs?
-An interesting bug: sometimes when I order a medium-large fleet (70-100 ships) to jump from one well to another the majority will jump, but 2 or three will instead just start moving toward the other well and eventually get stuck in deep space (and become unrecoverable/unviewable). Can anyone confirm?
I thought the corvette's passive ability was the reason that you should consider buying them, rather than damage output? Sure, it may not be great against fleets, but 40 or so corvettes picking away at a titan with that buff going off ought to give you an edge...
Okay then, thank you very much for checking that for me.
Thank you for letting me be part of the Beta! Beautiful work so far! I've only noticed a couple bugs, or what seem to be bugs. When turning, some of my ships seem to "overshoot" how far they're supposed to turn (most noticeable on the corsair, but I've seen my Marza do it on occasion too, causing it to not be able to fire it's abilities until it corrects itself). Is this intentional? Also, The Z-axis for the planetary structures and the gravity well don't l
