All I want is 64 bit, multicore, better physics, turrets that rotate, and the elimination of 2d elements.
So, basically, you want them to rewrite the base code. Now, that being sad, I complete agree with your requests, but I don't know how much effort they are going to put into Sins 2. Craig did mention he wasn't telling the community what he has been up to, so who knows.
Here's another bug that needs fixing -- overlapping planets in randomly-generated maps. The engine needs to be fixed so that a certain minimum distance is required between all planets.
Wow, that bug is about 2 years old. I think I remember Blair saying it would be way to hard to implement for a quick patch. Perhaps this v1.12 will allow the fix to happen.
Everything that GameSpy said was absolutely true. I honestly think that making a Sins 2 would be in the best interest of this game. You may ask why I say that. Well, simply, it's because, as GameSpy said, most people most likely never heard of Sins. Now that they have, launching a Sins 2 will allow this game to really shine. Even better, online multiplayer will get a critical mass of players.
I'll be honest, I haven't read through most of the posts. Here is my idea, create sectors (8 pie slices) of the grav well. Each sector can be mined, but the actual mines don't exist, it's an AOE. Each race has an ability, TEC would be damage/second, Advent would be AM/second (or shields or w/e), and Vasari would be reduced speed (or reduce armor by chance). Scouts would serve to eliminate the AOE.
banned for wanting Craig Fraiser to be knocked about and punished. He is fixing it instead of leaving it behind like a pile of dung heap.
Banned for misunderstanding the fact that my quote reflected the fact that Craig said he was working on something and not letting the community know.
Banned because you don't know who co-created Sins of a Solar Empire.
You're all banned for letting Craig Fraser off the hook.
Banned for being a virus.
Banned for going off topic.
You still have WHIP.
I think TEC are fine the way they are. If for nothing else TEC will win late game by sheer production rates. TEC can build more factories and produce ships at least 50% faster than any other faction. TEC's late game advantage is cheap, highly replaceable ships.
Funny, I uninstalled Sins, and installed nothing in it's place. I need to spend more time with my kids and family.
P5yy is alive???
Oh but I think I might know. You forget how long I've been around (at least in terms of SINS)....hehe
You're still playing? Under what name?
Yep. No one knows either, it's quite beautiful.
WHIP, you're Hans? Usually I can detect your smurfs.
I personally don't understand why people like the 3-weapon option for the Vasari starbase. Very overpriced, IMO, I never use it.
Offensive purposes, such as taking out a fully fortified Advent world with SB that has mass disorientation and meteor. The more DPS the better.
If anyone hasn't noticed, I haven't updated this list in a while.
Whip, don't worry, I'm still on Sins, just a little less now. Busy with the family.
Hey guys, I just got my computer back up and running. Where in the world is everyone?
No desyncs or MDs so far. Much improved. Not even the "Disconnected From Ironclad Online"
Optimizing the Game will help ... And you can have 3,5GB under 32Bit.
No, you can't. Programs are limited to 2Gb. OS can have 3.5Gb.
I agree with Quar. There needs to be a "Stop playing the AI and get online" push. This game was meant to be played against humans.
Hey, news flash. Google wants to make money, and what they are doing will make a butt load of it.
HOLY MOTHER OF.... I LOVE YOU IRONCLAD!
