ICO is amazingly laggy today. Hard to even talk in lobby.
Howdidudothat
Something is wrong, ICO is down right now. I just tried to log in and I am getting the error. I actually came onto the forums to see if anyone else was complaining or if someone had posted a reason (e.g., Maintenance).
You'd have about 10 people to list....
I'm on right now.
Please feed the hamsters, the lag is awful right now. It takes a minute just to log in.
We welcomed in Mecha last night. Star and Siddy are active.
If you really want advice, you need to post replays. It is hard to tell what happened and what the other team saw, which is much more important that what you did.
I'm BACKKK!
Mecha, you were like Quar, both in skill and smurfing ability. Also, I'M BACKKKKK!
I would be cool with that if it's a better service.
Wow, Siddy still plays this game?
Well, the title pretty much covers it all. I know having a server is a cost, not only in initial purchase and setup, but in energy and maintenance costs. However, a lot of the community, I feel, thinks this game is BEST played online. However, with how laggy ICO can be, it really does put off a lot of players and I think the player counts on ICO are a reflection on the frustration many of us have with ICO. Having a revamped ICO up and running when Rebellion goes live
I'm not playing Sins (or anything actually) at the moment, but if you need more, let me know. I was getting frustrated with DT because they smurfed so much I didn't know if I was playing with a clan mate or not. In any case, I'll definitely be around when rebellion roles out; I already pre-ordered it.
+1 to fixing the map generator.
Make it abundantly clear on the main menu of the game which button should be pushed for ICO.
Yes, please fix pathing and allow the empire tree to stop jumping around when your mouse is in the empire tree field. These are long standing issues.
That's not a map bug. That's WAD. It happens when two planets are too close to one another in the map design. Once their wells overlap the game moves one on the z-axis. Talk to the map creator. If it a standard map then just up the star size or galaxy units. Or would you prefer the game to mini-dump?
Dude, it's a confirmed bug by the game creator. It happens all the time on the Random Map (e.g., Small Random, Medium Random, Large Random, Etc.)
Please fix the map bug where a player does not have a normal start with random maps (i.e., the homeworld does not connect to a asteroid and an ice/volc or the HW only has one phase lane out). Also fix map bug with gravity wells overlapping eachother in the XY plane by being different heights on Z-axis. See this thread from 2.5 YEARS ago about this issue. Blair Fraiser said he would take a look at it. San Tsu has some very good screen shots of the problem. <a hr
Yeah, 512 of RAM just isn't enough for Sins.
That isn't enough for a current operating system.
Oh yes...DT will be back for this one.
TEC has some great early game combos, however, late game both of the other races should be able to roll over a TEC fleet with their special abilities.
TECs late game ability is easily replaceable fleet. Unlimited cash and fast building ships means no amount of special abilities can stop you. Trust me, it works.
Reading all these threads, it sounds like TEC is going to be the race to beat. The funny thing is, is that they already were the best race in the last version of the game. I say that, but I would like all of you to bear in mind that I was strictly a Vasari player for a VERY long time.
I might reinstall after the beta testing is over. We'll see. As you all can tell, I still hang around and monitor sins.
Kostura Cannon: * Will no longer damage and stun enemy ships.
Seriously? Holy Nerf Batman.
Man I miss those days.
