I know I personally did several video interviews, as did Chris and Frogboy. They should be turning up later this week. Ain't no way I'm clicking that link Kitkun.
Yea the fog was diffrent between the waterfall level and the lava level too.
Custom fog and 3d effects for each arena!
Man, is that what I sound like?!? We did that interview on the show floor, hence the poor audio. There were people on left and right playing Demigod.... and I think I can hear a little Rock Band in the background there. I swear, one more Bon Jovi song and I'm going to go on a godlike terror myself.
xthetenth has it right. Unique option available up to 4v4, unlocked to 5v5 when we release additional Demigods after release.
To confirm- Eight demigods on retail release. Heh, and based off PAX feedback, we'll be moving the abilities to 1-4, F1-F4 and camera controls to WASD.
Darn it mOoEy! Why didn't you introduce yourself? I remember our conversation, but can't put the face with the name(That's what I get for doing demos for 8 hours straight)...
You don't keep your levels. Our persistent model is ... something else! :)
"maybe you get money over time for each "strategic" point your team controls " That could be one way ... ;)
I wish I could share a picture, but that part of the Vampire Lord is still under wraps(But you'll be able to see him at PAX!)
Heh. No promises that Beta 1 will offer as much as PAX. And brn, we'll have more on show than you've listed :)
Hey all, We're currently considering different names for the Vampire Lord. I thought I'd open this up to the community. What would YOU name the Vampire Lord? Here are some of the current names being bandied about: Lord Nosferatu Count Nukekubi Strigoi Bhuta Ramanga Kali Mike "Tyo" Marr Demigod Lead Designer
Innociv - You select your Demigod in the lobby. No menus popup when the game starts :)
It is a PAX specific build. Beta will feature a different version.
Currently... * All Demigods, Assassin or Geneeral, are worth the same XP, which is a function of attacker to defenders level. * General minions are not worth any XP. * General minions do not die when their General dies. All subject to change of course :)
Mike "Tyo" Marr Demigod Lead Designer
Hmm, a quick review reveals that the score remains the same. Although mOoEy gets half a point for guessing that there is a way to select your Demigod(it's not a button though in the traditional sense though!)
Hey all, Just checking in to say- Yes! Demigod will be playable at PAX.
Mike "Tyo" Marr Demigod Lead Designer
I feel that Stardock has really improved GPG's attitude towards its community
They totally have by allowing us to actually talk about things. I mean, god forbid other publishers would let us do that, right?
The way people earn gold is ... different than what you've currently been discussing and is still under quite a bit of development.
Legerdemain comes out with a score of 1. Next!
Hey all, Thought I'd drop in for a quick comment. If you choose 'Random' your opponents will not know which Demigod you are until they encounter you on the field of battle.
Mike "Tyo" Marr Demigod Lead Designer
Heh! I stole the "Confirm or deny" placard from Scathis. A couple more answers: * You choose your Demigod each match. Each account has access to all the Demigods you've unlocked. * A Demigod has access to four skills at any one time and the action bar has a slot for each(You do not customize it). Your inventory also has room for three(currently) activatable items, such as scrolls, potions, wands, orbs, trinkets, etc. So, total abilities you can activate at any one time is
I'm with Poita. When I begin starting an explanation of Demigod, my first question is "Are you familiar with DoTA?" It's a great shortcut to what would otherwise require quite a bit of explanation. Now, that said, Demigod is different than DoTA in quite a few ways. We offer a persistent universe, achievements, strategic map objectives, better looking art and environments, etc.
Mike "Tyo" Marr Demigod Lead Designer
A few comments :) * Not all Demigods have a way to heal outside of returning to home base. However, you can buy potions to fill that need. * A small subset of Demigods have methods to heal themselves. Methods include Life Drain, Structure Drain, enhanced regeneration and straight up targeted Healing.
mOoEy - One tree.
"Now.. i heard it is a FACT and Scathis said it, but i have no link showing proof that he said it, that there are 15 Demigod" I can neither confirm or deny the number of Demigods we will ship with. What I can confirm is that at max level, a Demigod can have 83.33, repeating of course, percent of their total skills. Additionally, that Legerdemain guy is a quick study. One of Innociv's posts is very close and Mooey, your questions hurt my brain dude. Finally, I
