I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die. Roy in Blade Runner

I couldn't find one that had the whole start menu shaped like a gear. But there is Synthek which is a very light gray (almost silver) which doesn't say "start menu". It just has a gear to the left of the name. Here is a link: https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=4742&LibID=1 Not sure if this is it. Just trying to help
I've been addicted for quite a while, and I think it was Colony that snagged me, but Micron gold that I used for the longest time.
I tried Sir Zubaz's link, which kills the old cookies. I left the site, came back and logged in. I left the site again, and it remembered me when I came back. So it seems to be working. Maybe this thread can help some others who are having the same problem. Thanks Sir Zubaz!
The Headline and Sub title pretty much say it all. In the past few days, every time I visit WinCustomize I have to type in my user name and password. I think there used to be a button that said "Remember Me" which is also not there. Has there been a change lately, or am I just stuck getting frustrated in the Twilight Zone?
What, you mean we can download at a time other than 4 am in the morning? Do tell
Setpimus, I was just trying to be funny, not so much sarcastic. I am familiar with XP themes, and collected a number of them. My point was that MS Styles aren't a whole lot more than changing the color theme and wallpaper. I know... a few icons and cursors can be changed too. I guess the wider question that I hoped might arise, is that with a more robust visual styles capability in Vista does the general public become addicted to changing
Ah yes, the ability to choose a color scheme and change your wallpaper. How foolish of me to forget. I think I need another cup of coffee!
I was wondering what the effect of Vista having the inherent visual styles capability is going to have on the WindowBlinds product. Also I was wondering if there are plans in place to have a section dedicated to these Vista "skins".
A quick question on updates. I may be wrong, but it seems that you can change the wording on the description and it doesn't go through moderation again. It only goes through moderation if you change the graphic image or the upload item itself. Is this a correct assumption?
I must admit that consistently seeing an item rated by the moderater at a certain level go down two points is disappointing. Will I lose sleep over it, No. But to say that it had zero effect, isn't realistic either. I must say that for the most part, I'm getting some good constructive criticism, and often rework the item based on that feedback. As a few others have said, that it might be a good idea to have those rating a skin leave a comment. Tha
Okay.. the mess looks like the guys unix terminal on Jurassic Park. I'm a WC Junkie, what more can I say. Now for the specs: ASUS P4P800E-Deluxe Motherboard Intel Prescott 3.0 GHz CPU, 800MHz FSB Thermaltake Spark7 Variable speed Fan 4 Gig of Geil DDR 400, Dual Channel Low Latency RAM 1.86 Terrabytes of Western Digital Hard Drives (2 in
I didn't realize that this thread existed. I've been addicted to WC for so long now, that I am considered a "junkie". I'm 50 and live 3 miles east of the Daytona Beach speedway. I've been into Web design and programming for a living around 22 years now. I've given it all up to skin for free, the sign of a true WC junkie. Keep an eye out, you're liable to find me lurking in any corner here in WC land. NetBadger Out <img src="h
Thanks one more time Night Train! I owe you big time.
Hi, I've been working on my 5th skin, so I'm still pretty new at all of this. On my latest attempt, I'm trying to make it compatible with both WindowBlinds version 5 and version 4.x for those who haven't updated yet. I also put in the coloring mask, so it should be easy to recolor it. I am on version 5 of WindowBlinds, so I know it works there. If someone is still running a pre-version 5, and is willing to download the skin and
The suite seems to be working fine with IconX now. Thanks, NetBadger
Oops forgiveness recinded Adam. It was Zubaz asking. I just looked at the last line Bad Adam. Took it as a self flagellation... like bad badger, bad. Oh, well.. you get the idea.
Forgiveness granted Adam. Just protect that rib, or we may have Eve problems! I'm a strong supporter of Wincustomize both financially and in participation. We all get frustrated sometimes, but you'll not find me lashing out at Stardock or WinCustomize in that kind of tone. On a side note, My Blade Runner skin does support Roll-up. What you have to do is go into the "User Overrides" section of the WindowBlinds browser and click
Hi, I'm far from being a new user, but this question seemed to fit into this category more than any other. In my profile under Author Awards it now list #1 Yearling with a gold diamond graphic to the left. What does this "award" mean? Thanks, NetBadger
I had started a similar thread elsewhere, but this one seems more active. I'd love to see the ability to save the layout as mentioned above. Also, it would be nice to be able to give the little fella a name. I don't think Sir Starkers is so warped. A few more oddball behaviors would do well as comic relief. Regards, Doug Barnhart aka NetBadger
Another thing that would be nice.... Is for the program to remember where you put all the items, or have the ability to "save layout". Once you move the bed, cheese maker, toilet and everything to where you want it, everything goes back to the default layout when you reboot.
This is part of the Blade Runner Suite that I am working on. I should be submitting it soon.
The title pretty much says it all. Night Train mentioned in an earlier post that he didn't think you could add sounds to per pixel buttons with Window Blinds version 5. At least not through the Skin Studio interface. I wondered if anybody found a way to add sounds to the per pixel buttons by adding code directly to the skin?
From the days of Windows 95 through Windows XP, I've used the same little tool for handling sound files. It was freeware, but it appears the author's site has gone down. It allowed you to choose multiple sound files for each event, and the program would randomize which one would be played. You could also add events to any .exe program like open, close, minimize, maximize. I've collected 1000's of sound clips, and then sorted them into categories th
I have this one solved, and wanted to put the solution here, so others may benefit from it. I exlcuded Outlook from being skinned, and the problem was still there. The natural conclusion would be... then Windowblinds has nothing to do with it. Turned out that wasn't true. After many hours of Googling, it turns out the answer was in the Wincustomize forums at: https://forums.stardock.com/index.aspx?ForumID=157&AID=87627#764612 <b
