im so tired of people blaming everyone else for their problems. its M$ fault for IE7, its SD fault for Impulse, its IC fault for minidumps. this is completely stupid. quit trying to be soooo cheap that you have to run Linux instead of a legal version of Windows. if you can't take incompatibility. dont browse porn all night and wonder why you are going blind and have system bugs that cause minidumps. if youre too broke to buy it, then do without until you land a j
Regardless of any of your valid views, I CANNOT PLAY SINS OF A SOLAR EMPIRE ON MY COMPUTER, ALTHOUGH I HAVE PAID FOR IT.
so... FIX WINDOWS INSTEAD OF BLAMING SD FOR NOT RUNNING ON AN UNSUPPORTED PLATFORM. geez whine is right.
Addon cost is 10$ but bank taking 25$ for transaction with US banks. What a crap. ... Do something with that
sorry. but thats not IC or SD fault. talk to your banks.

id say no. stardock should NOT have a pc for sale. SD PLEASE OH PLEASE dont waste money in to the evil BTO hardware pit! (i know you wont) now, maybe thru impulse they sell software that is "certified with impulse" or something which would indicate that the apps all run happy with each other. as for hardware, it would be cheaper and more effective for SD to again "certify" a wide range of hardware and then sell off the used goods through impulse or w

fyi, those of you with mini-dumps, not everyone gets them. ive had sins for about a year now and have never had a mini-dump. my computer isnt even a hard core gaming box, but it does ok. the worst trouble i ever had was with the video drivers which wasnt even related to IC or SD. so keep in mind during your mini-dump rants that you are in the minority. IC has worked hard to provide solutions and improvements, but they cant know exactly what is on your comput

whats the point of detecting mines at all in this case then? oh look, a grav well with 150 mines in it. oh boy i cant wait to clean this field, it should only 50,000 credits and take a few hours since the the detection isnt working. mix that with hack78's point, and its even worse. or from the other side... im advent, i do nothing but spam mines line crazy against the TEC because i KNOW they cannot safely clear the field. its out of balance

fyi this has nothing to do with mag clouds. they changed the ranges of the mine detection and the range of the tec scouts in the update. its in the change log. but the theshold is too small between them and suicide is the old option unless there are a crap load of scouts and other ships to kill the mines before the home in. no chance of leaving a couple scouts behind to clean a well as the fleet moves on.

i know the specs were tweeked on this update. but the threshold is too close. the tec scout slows to a stop inside the detection range. thus the scout sees the mine, but then gets killed soon after when the mine turns on the scout that should be out of range. the only way to clean the advent mine field is to spam scouts into the mines losing the scouts in the process.

wifey and i have played entrenchment solid for a week now and we havent seen anything like this. the oddest thing we found was if windows media player is minimized to the tool bar in vista it can bleed through if some circumstances. nothing on credits disappearing.

ive never seen anything like that. what we are trying to do is replicate it. so as much information as you can give the better. game settings, or even a saved game file maybe helpful so we can try to narrow it down. if we can duplicate the problem, then the devs will have something to look into. i personally havent seen it yet, but ive havent play that much entrenchment yet, and havent played advent. considering the number of people on this forum that w

in general, across all software industries, when you "buy" software you are only buying a license to use it. dont confuse licensing, DRM, and other apps that act as gateways. you can buy entrenchment through impulse and archive it to cd all day long if you want to. and all that linux crap....come on. hey great, you played sins with WINE. woopie. but that has NOTHING to do with the devs and pubs and you are depending on the linux community to continue to dev a
